Denzel's Classmate

Denzel was fidgeting.The question was at the tip of his tongue.He was feeling extremely shy to ask Tifa.Where was Cloud when you need him?Tifa looked at him confused.He had a slight blush and was being fidgety.Tifa didn't know what to do.She wanted to call Cloud but he was busy making deliveries.Just on cue,the door opened and the blond warrior returned.Marlene's eyes lit up and jumped towards Cloud for a hug.When he entered the dining room,Marlene was hanging on his neck and this time,Denzel's eyes lit up.
"Umm..Cloud-" he stopped.A thousand questions raced his mind.
"Cloud,your home early today," Tifa said instead.
"Yeah,I finished deliveries early.Looks like I will have a break for a while," Cloud said settling down on a chair opposite Denzel.
Marlene eyed Denzel and spoke up,"Denzel,You wanted to ask Cloud something?"
She beamed,she had done something good and hoped for Denzel to praise her later.However,Denzel looked down and did not say anything.
"You wanted to ask something?" Cloud said looking at Denzel."It's okay.You can tell me anything,"
"You won't get mad?" Denzel spoke quietly.
Cloud nodded and saw Denzel's shoulder relaxed.Tifa moved to Cloud's shoulder,interested.She placed her elbow on his shoulder,awaiting the news.
"Erm.One of my classmates told me that his brother said," He inhaled a breath."That Tifa has great assets and would like to hook up with her.I told him that Tifa has Cloud and he called me a names."
Cloud inhaled a sharp breath.Looks like the day has come for Cloud to kick ass.He looked at Denzel,his face was filled with worry.More questions raced his mind not helping his nerves.Tifa was flushed,while Cloud didn't change expression.
The room was silent.Denzel didn't understand what the brother meant by great assets,but he assumed it wasn't good.
"Denzel,tomorrow is that brother coming?" Cloud asked.
"Yeah.He sends and picks up my classmate," Denzel replied hastily.
Cloud nodded and looked Tifa.She has questions too and it was written all over her face but Cloud left them alone.

The day passed in a blink of an eye,Denzel and Marlene was preparing for school.
"Tifa,I will be following you.Is that okay?" Cloud asked staring at her ruby eyes.
"Yeah,of course," Tifa said taken aback.
Marlene jumped in joy that Cloud was following.She jumped on his back,clinging like a koala.As they walked,Cloud received stares from the girls.Tifa chuckled at Cloud,he was holding Denzel's hand while Marlene was on his shoulders.Marlene pouted when they reached the school gate.
"Cloud,pick me up too?" Marlene asked with puppy dog eyes.
Cloud chuckled and went down to eye level."Maybe.It might be Tifa though,"
Marlene beamed,either way she hoped that Cloud will come.Denzel walked towards Tifa and gave her a hug,including,Cloud.

"Are you going to pick up Marlene?" Tifa asked on their way home.
It was a long walk and if Cloud brought Fenrir,it won't be able to accommodate everyone.
"I guess so.Come to think of it,today Denzel has remedial doesn't he?" Cloud replied.
"Oh yeah!Oh no,today has a market sale,I can't pick Denzel up!" Tifa placed two hands on her head.
Cloud chuckled and reassured her.He had a glint in his eyes which made Tifa shiver.It has been a long time since he had it.

"Cloud,It's about time to pick Marlene up!" Tifa said running out of the door.
Cloud simply carried her bridal style and brought her to Fenrir.He sat down and motioned for Tifa to sit behind him.She did as told and hugged him from behind.Cloud was caught by surprise and let out a sharp breath.Due to Fenrir,they made it there in time.Marlene jumped in excitement.She gets to ride on Fenrir!Also,Cloud came to pick her up.For the second time today,Marlene pounced on Cloud's neck.He went to Fenrir and let Marlene settle in between his lap.As Cloud drove off,Marlene and Tifa enjoyed the wind blowing through their face.Cloud let out a small smile and they reached the supermarket.
"You said there was a sale?" Cloud said balancing Fenrir.
Tifa nodded and rushed to the store.Cloud parked Fenrir and held onto Marlene's hand.They walked through the children store as Marlene began to look for toys.
"Only one.Don't forget to pick one for Denzel," Cloud said looking at the toys.
Some of their prices was unreasonable.He looked at the toy sword.It was flimsy and could be broken easily.Suddenly,Cloud remembered that Denzel was admiring his sword.He obviously could not give Denzel his sword.It was too dangerous.Well,he could teach Denzel how to wield one.Cloud snapped out of his thoughts when Marlene tugged his arm.She had a doll,it reminded him of Tifa.The doll had brown hair and ruby eyes.It definately looked liked Tifa when she was younger.He chuckled at the thought.A Tifa doll?Should he get one?As Cloud paid for the items,Tifa was already infront of them.She had a bunch of grocery bags on her hand.
"What were you chuckling about in the store Cloud?" Tifa questioned.
"Nothing," Cloud said as he took the bags.
They walked towards Fenrir and let Cloud guide them.They reached home and Cloud departed again to fetch Denzel.He also had to take care of the 'brother'.

"Denzel!Is that caretaker of yours coming?" he questioned.
Denzel was about to answer but Fenrir's noise cut him short.
Cloud stepped out and took off his goggles,revealing his cerulean eyes.
"Who is that?" he asked.
"Cloud!That is the person I mentioned," Denzel said wandering over to Fenrir.
"I heard you are disturbing Denzel," Cloud said as he hovered over the 'brother'.
They shaked their head vigorously.
"Sorry but Denzel's guardian,is mine," Cloud said giving a glare before rushing back on Fenrir.
When they came home,Tifa bombarded them with questions.Denzel laughed when Tifa asked what Cloud did.He laughed so much that his stomach started to hurt.Marlene asked Denzel and received the answer.At first,she didn't understand but Denzel explained.After the explanation,even Marlene burst out laughing.Cloud and Tifa stared at them confused until Cloud remembered what he said.A slight blush crept up his cheeks.This was something he absolutely did not want Tifa to know.
