I hope you continue reading my OneShots.Now,I will begin the chapter.

The plates filled with food had already been laid out on the table,they were only left to do the remaining decorations.Christmas passed by in a flash,next was new years.It marked the end of the year,making it a bittersweet feeling.

"Cloud,is your side done?" Tifa called out.

"Yes,looks like we only need to wait for them."

Tifa nodded and sat herself on the couch.Another year had passed,marking another beginning filled with events.Cloud watched Tifa from the side,smiling as she closed her eyes to visualize her daydreams.Slowly,she drifted off to sleep as she thought of the different events that occurred.She thought of the comrades that was always beside her,the ribbon reminding her about Aerith and Zack.

Cloud looked at her sleeping form and chuckled quietly to himself.He wrapped a jacket over form and called Denzel and Marlene.They lowered their volume,considerate for Tifa.A few minutes passed and the doorbell rang.Cloud opened the door and before they could start wishing,he quickly tried to explain the situation.Barret ignoring Cloud's words and still running to embrace Marlene.

"Tifa is taking a nap,let's surprise her with the firecrackers later.Since,she planned most of it," To imply his words he pointed towards Tifa's sleeping form.

They nodded and each took a firecracker.Quietly,they sat down in front of the table.At Yuffie's countdown,they pulled at the string.

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!"  Tifa opened her eyes at the unexpected noise and looked at their faces.

"It's time to wake up,sleeping beauty," Yuffie commented as Tifa removed the jacket.

"Jeez,Cloud you could have woken me up!" Tifa looked at Cloud as he gave a small smile.

"I didn't want to disturb you when you were sleeping that comfortably.Well,how should we start off before the countdown?"

"It definitely has to be...games!And eating in between!" they shouted.

It started out with regular games,exactly as they said,eating in between.All of them started playing with full power but they started running out of ideas.

"What game next?" Cid asked,his head empty of ideas.

"Before that,look at the time," Cloud's words caused everyone to look at the clock."Three more minutes before the countdown.Shouldn't we get ready for that instead?"

"That's true."

Tifa walked towards the kitchen and grabbed a few drinks before returning to them."Denzel and Marlene gets sparkling juice while the rest may choose what they want."

Cloud took the wine bottle and carefully placed his fingers to push out the cork.

"3! 2! 1!" their voices on par with the sound of the cork bursting from the bottle."Once again,Happy New Year!"

Cloud poured the wine in each of their glasses as Tifa poured Denzel's and Marlene's share.Their New Year's ended with energy and a newly attained photo.Each of them changing day by day.Cloud pulled Tifa to his side to give her a small kiss on her cheek.

"Thank you for this year.I hope you look after me next year as well," Cloud said as his lips tugged into a smile.

Tifa cupped her cheek and gave a flushed smile in return.Not minding the comrades that was grinning ear to ear in front of them.
