"Cloud? Where are you going this time?" the raven haired emerged from the doorway, her drowsiness disappeared once she laid her eyes on the figure. He held different packages in hand, each differing in size. Kicking the door open lightly, she followed him outside, the place that Fenrir was parked. Silence continued to fill the air, as she patiently waited for his answer. "There's a package that needs to be delivered. The distance is pretty far from here, so I will be gone for a few days." His answer short and precise. She held back her words, understanding the reason. "Alright. Be safe."

Her lips curved into a smile, as she thanked the darkness of the night. The eyes that she owned unable to be seen clearly in the dark. "I will be waiting for you at home." In response, he gave a small smile of his own as he slid his sunglasses on. She raised a hand, waving to the figure that drove further away from her. It left loneliness in her heart as she watched him leave, swallowing the comments in her throat. "I hope he comes back soon." She muttered it under her breath, before the night air started to freeze her exposed skin. Slowly entering the bar, she made her way silently up the stairs, carefully to prevent waking up the children in the room. Her bed managed to remove her thoughts as she drifted to sleep.

"Tifa? Where is Cloud?" Denzel groggily muttered as he sat on the chair. She laughed, "His at work. He won't be back for a while," she continued to make breakfast as Marlene entered. The same scenario played out, only with Denzel answering the question as a difference. She arrived to the table, with two plates in hand as she settled into her own seat. They ate with small and quick bites, with the silence as a comfort. After they finished, each went to do their own things, as Tifa checked the fridge. "Oh? Denzel, Marlene! Would you like to follow me? We ran out of groceries."

They faced each other as a silent communication passed between each other. In the end, they exited the shop at walked in towards the direction of the mart. Tifa carefully placed herself to protect the other two from any fast vehicles or rushed people. The moment they reached, each of them passed the aisles. Following the list that Tifa made before leaving. There was slight chatter as they reached each product, laughing along the jokes that someone made. She checked the things in her basket, nodding as she walked towards the register. Denzel walked with her to the cashier as Marlene waited at the other end. Once everything was finished, she reenacted the same movements as they walked back to the bar. As they listened to Marlene's voice, Tifa jolted from the sound of a roaring engine. She turned back, in hope of finding the engine that blasted in her ear. With time, it slowly started to get louder. As her eyes focused on the enclosing vehicle, she noticed a small figure picking up the stuff toy on the ground. Instantly, the raven haired threw away the bags in her hand as she used her leg power to chase after the girl. Gauging the distance between the girl and truck, Tifa tried to run in the opposite direction only to have something else occured. In her eyes, she saw the truck flash before her as she used her strength to throw the little girl to the pavement. Denzel chased after Tifa, noticing the swerve the truck did from its late reaction. "Marlene! Call the ambulance or doctors! Hurry!" He quickly grabbed the girl from the pavement, covering her eyes from the sight. The smell of copper remained strongly in the air, as Marlene approached Tifa's limp body after she called the ambulance. She could hear the soft beating of her heart, as the volume started to get softer. Tifa gave a soft smile before she could barely move.

He stopped Fenrir, removing the cell that constantly rang during his journey. Noticing an unfamiliar number, he picked up the call cautiously. Only to hear the voice of a man, his tone professional while he explained the situation. Cloud could not hide the emotions that pooled in his heart. He stepped on the engine, facing the direction that led towards the person his heart called out for. The ribbon on his forearm seemed to throbbed as he remembered the words said over the phone.

"I wonder when Tifa will wake up." Marlene sat on the chair beside the bed, her back leaned forward as she watched every slight movement happening from the raven haired. Denzel touched her shoulder, signalling for her to calm down. Feeling the hand, her shoulders relaxed slightly as she leaned back. "Do you think Cloud will come?" Denzel smiled as he nodded. "I'm sure." Marlene did the same action as him and waited, for the blond to appear. The heart rate from the monitor seemed to keep her awake, the noise of it worrying her.

A day had passed as the she felt tired from watching. Denzel quickly placed her on the sofa, signalling for her to rest. He sat in her spot as he reassured Marlene that he was watching over Tifa. It was slowly starting for the sun to set, as he noticed the orange rays touching the blanket covering their beloved caretaker. His hand grasped hers, finding comfort in the warmth, knowing that she was still living. Before he could place another hand on his, he felt a large hand on his shoulder. A large figure stood in front of him as he watched over Tifa with eyes full of worry and guilt. Denzel stood beside Marlene's sleeping figure as he followed the gaze of the blond. Cloud sat on the empty chair as he grabbed hold of the hand in front of him. Despite the soft calls of her name, her eyes did not open as he silently grabbed her hand tightly. Each passing minute increasing his grip strength. It continued this way, the silence enveloping the room as from the orange rays it became dark, the natural sunlight exchanged with the room light. He continued to hold her hand, not letting go. Denzel dozed off, his lack of sleep showing as he desperately tried to open his eyes.

Hearing slight voices, Denzel waked up to see Cloud holding Tifa's hand against his cheek. Her eyes were opened as she laughed at his reaction. The familiar red appearing on her cheeks. He smiled at her, knowing that she had returned. Even with all the wires attached, he grabbed her body tightly, feeling her as he calmed down. "Don't do this ever again." Denzel smiled at the sight as laid back down, letting them have the moment to themselves. As he remembered the soft smile Cloud provided when he heard her voice.
