Are You okay?

"morning sunshine" Alex says as i walk down the stairs and in to the kitchen

"morning handsome" i say kissing his forehead

"Sophie i have to tell you something" Brad says walking in the kitchen and helping me move my bowl of cornflakes and my glass of fresh orange juice "go ahead"i say hesitantly 

"i think i have a crush on Mary"he says sitting down next to me

"umm..Brad i don't think that she's your type"i say knowing that guys in general were not her type

"how come?"

"can you just trust me that your going for the wrong girl?"i say touching his shoulder

"is someone jealous?"he playfully asks 

"are you kidding me?" i ask "why would i be jealous?"i finish off

"well because dating your best friend would mean that i would spend more time with her than with you"

"no, that's not the case Brad. Please trust me?"i say gently to him

"fine...but i'm taking your coco pops" he says grabbing my bowl of breakfast and shoving my favorite cornflakes down his throat.

"hey!!" i protest but give up hope as i see him going outside

"too slow kiddo"he shouts from outside

"you guys ready?"Josh asks walking into the kitchen with a glow in his face

"whats up with you?"i ask noticing how happy he was

"hey guys what's up?"Haiz says grabbing Alex's last piece of toast from his plate

"i could ask you the same question"Alex says getting up and putting his plate in the sink

"what do you mean?"Haiz asks

"what's wrong with your faces?"i ask putting my shoes on 

"what the hell are you talking about?"Josh asks

"your faces..their glowing and they have this weird smile on them"i say 

"did you..you know"Alex asks..it took me a minute to figure out what he was saying but i eventually go it.

"Alex!"Haiz says giggling under her breath

"hey come on it's time for school"Josh says kissing Haiz while they both giggle

"yeah yeah.."i say as i feed Daisy

"i'm walking to school" Brad says walking out the front door

"how come?" Josh asks

"got a lot to think about" Brad finally says walking out

"strange"Josh says "alright people it's a Friday so lets not be late please you know how Principle Pipe thinks about us !!" he shouts

"yes mum"Haiz says walking out and getting in his car

"you coming?"he asks me 

"um yeah ill ride with Alex"

"sure?"he double checks

"yes Josh now go"i say literally pushing him out the door

"i need to ask you something"i say walking up to Alex

"shoot"he says

"is it ok if me and Mary go out tonight?"i ask as we walk out to the porch and lock the door behind us

"Sophie.."he says gentle scooping my cheek "you can do whatever you like, you don't need my permission" he says handing me the helmet "go and have fun " he finishes
