I had everything packed within an hour. Matt was pretty impressed with how quickly I had gotten everything ready. Matt ran my bag down to the front door so when the time came to pick me up tomorrow my bag would be ready to go. I walked down to where Matt was and said bye and told him I’d talk to him later. He gave me a quick peck on the cheek before running to Blake’s car and driving off.

I was feeling pretty happy at the moment. My head wasn’t hurting nearly as much as it had been, my foot was perfect and didn’t hurt at all and I was planning on getting my tumbling back in record time. I had also finally gotten my needle, which took ages to get. I was hoping Joe and Court would let s pull needles this year. I heard my Dad come home and ran down the stairs. I hadn’t seen him for about two days because he was on a business trip to California. I was quickly enveloped in the smell of my dad which reminded me so much of home and of when I was little.  When Dad pulled away he had a serious look on his face, which immediately had me worried, he never had that look unless it was important.

“Jamie, get your brother and meet me in the living room in 5 minutes” I quickly nodded and ran back up the stairs, I told Pat what was going on he had the same confused look on his face that I had. We met back up in the living room and saw Mom and Dad sitting on the coach holding hands and looking very serious yet happy. “Guys, your mother and I have something to tell you” Pat and I quickly shared a look having no idea which way this was going. “Now we don’t know how you’re  going to take this, but we believe its for the best. Your dads work and mine to have asked us to work in the Kentucky office. We have said yes. Now this means that you won’t be able to cheer with CA anymore Jamie, you will be joining Gym Tyme and the coach James has offered you Point Flyer on there IOC5 team Black Smack, which I know you’ve heard of.” I slowly let the reality of her words sink in. No more Cheetahs only Black Smack. I couldn’t say Gym Tyme wasn’t an amazing gym, they had one less Worlds title than us and I had dreamed about competing on their IOC5 or IOC6 team. I felt nerves bubble up and felt the need to speak… “But how do I just leave cheetahs? They need me and how do you know Black want me?” “Jamie, the whole team is looking forward to meeting you, your trip with Matt will be cut short a week so we can move and you can start training. James will help you get through your mental block okay?” “Fine, but don’t expect it to happen quickly” I quickly ran up to my room and texted Matt about everything…

He replied with “You’re a Black Smack girl now, no more cheetahs for Jamie ;)” “Why don’t you hate me or why aren’t you angry at me?” I was confused with how Matt was acting, I expected some angry comment or something but I got nothing like that “Jamie, you deserve the opportunity, it’s a change enjoy it.. See you tomorrow boo xx” I smiled thinking about tomorrow, I quickly redid my bandages and fell asleep, dreaming about Louisville and Little Rock.

I woke up at around 8:30 because I knew Matt would be coming at 9:15. I was excited to fly with Matt and spend this time with him. I also loved Matt’s mum so I knew this trip was going to be one I wouldn’t forget. I quickly straightened my hair, left my face natural because their was no way I was putting make up on for a flight and quickly put on a pair of orange shorts, flowy white top and a pair of white converse, that may loose their clean colour by the end of this trip. Before Matt came inside, mom told me that she would be pulling apart my bed and sending it to Kentucky where my dad would be starting to put the furniture into the house and unpacking things that would be sent first. I took in a deep breath, smiled and said okay. I knew how much this meant to the both of them and wasn’t going to burst their bubble. God wanted this to happen so I left fate to take its turn. I saw Matt open the door and I quickly ran up to him and he kissed me on the nose. I smiled at him and he stroked my hair and said “No bandage today aye” “Nope, I’m all better now” ”Perfect, but you looked cute with the bandage” “Aw thanks Matty” I finished by winking at him. I wheeled my bag out to the car and placed it in the boot. I said a quick hi to Blake before quickly texting Pat to make sure he put all the photos that were in a frame in newspaper and laid them on my floor.
