Warped

Andy's POV 

I woke up dreading this day. I stared at the floor, running a hand through my hair. I walked over to the bathroom and turned on the shower  and let it get warm. I grabbed a pair of grey skinny jeans and a t-shirt. I threw them on theb ed before going in. I let the warm water hit my body. I instantly relaxed. I slammed my fist against the wall and stared at the ceiling. 

She was right last. I did fuck everything up. I was the reason this family was apart. I heard a knock on the bathroom door before a voice. 

"D-Dad..." I heard her voice whisper.

"Yes baby?" I asked.

""Nevermind, I'll ask you when you get out." She whispered before leaving. I sighed and turned the water off. I wrapped the towel around my waist and walked back to the bed. I got dressed and walked out of the room. I looked  at the kitchen counter and saw her eating breakfast. She never cooked which surprised me. She cooked? I walked past her and saw her blue eyes flicker to mine. 

"There's eggs in the pan and bacon on t he counter and toast is in the toaster." She said quietly, like she did something bad. I felt my stomach not and I suddenly didn't want to eat, but I had to so she wouldn't notice anything out of order. I dished my plate and I sat down. I felt guilty. 

"Echo... we have to leave Friday night.. we play Warped." I said eating some eggs. She nodded not saying anything.

"You were supposed to stay with Juliet but she is well... gone." I said, my voice getting quieter. 

"I was gonna ask you about that... I was wondering of I could go along with. School gets out tomorrow so I can go. I promise I'll help out. I j-just need a distraction." She said quietly. I completely understood her and then a thought popped into my head.

"Umm... if you don't mind. Kevin.. he said they're looking for a person to help out. I don't fully know what it is but he said you'd get paid." I said quietly. I ate a piece of bacon waiting for her response. A few more minutes passed and she looked up at me.

"Ok, I guess that's fi-." 

I cut her off. "You don't have to help but since you were looking for a distraction..." 

"No it's fine." She said and finished eating. I watched as she made her way to the sink and put her dishes away. Only then did I noticed two huge gashes on her arm. I knew she was going to do it. I didn't say anything but when she left to go shower I got up and called CC. CC was like her second dad. 

"Hey man, what's up?" I heard his voice say when he picked up.

"Nothin... I just wanted to say. If you wanted to come over to the house we were going shopping for Warped. I wanted to know if you wanted to come with... Echo... she... she cut herself last night and acted strange this morning." I said messing with my lip ring. 

"Um, okay." I heard him say after a moment. I knew he was trying to keep his calm because.

"Just don't say anything, she doesn't know we know." I said quietly. I heard the water turn off.

"Ok thats fine but why?"

"She needs someone and I don't think she wants me. She loves you CC you're like a second dad to her soo.." I said then heard footsteps coming.

"Be here in 5, I have to go." I said and hung up. I looked up to see Echo. She was wearing a long sleeve shirt that had an inverted cross and a pair of skinny jeans. Its summer... she usually doesn't wear that. I let it slide.

"Get your shoes on CC's gonna be here in a few." I said. She nodded and left. slipped on my pair converse I rarely wore and then grabbed my phone. I started going through my newsfeed. I felt my heart shatter at what this one fan kept saying. She said she wanted a hug from me. I would have gladly given it to her but I couldn't. I responded to her tweet and watched a load of people start responding. I  heard the door bell so I opened it up. I saw CC standing there with a teddy bear and chocolate. I started laughing and then Echo came by and grinned.
