Jack POV
The crowd screams wild as I play my guitar. They chant my name. There were so many people I was making happy. This moment. Right now. This is my dream. This has always been my dream. I sit down on the speaker and high five some of my fans. I reach down and shook the hand of a girl who couldn't be older than 13. I pressed my guitar pick into her hand trying to hide what I was giving her so the crowd wouldn't attack her. She was there with who I'm guessing is her best friend and her friends mom. Her friend didn't seem to know very many songs. Neither did her mom but her friend seemed so happy to be there with her best friend. They both looked so happy. I got up and started singing...
"WAKE UP JACK!!!" I hear Kellin yell
"What's wrong with you?!?" I ask Kellin
"Just get up." Kellin says before adding "Make yourself presentable"
"What? Why?" I say trying to wake up
" You are going to do the ID's and stuff today and you need to get up."
"You suck." I simply say before getting out of bed and going to grab a pair of jeans out of my drawer
I pull on my jeans and put on an All Time Low shirt before I walk over to my dresser and fix my hair.
"Isn't that my shirt?" Kellin asks
"Maby." I say
"Ok then." he says sitting down on my bed
"So. Is "Winter" your new girlfriend?" I ask wiggling my eyebrows
"We both like eachother but she isn't my girlfriend yet. Why the quotes around her name?"
"Do you really think that's her real name?"
"Ya. It is. Why are you asking about her anyway? You have a crush on her. Don't you?" Kellin says
"Uh" I say
"BACK OFF! SHE IS MY GIRL! WHY DON'T YOU JUST GO ASK OUT SKYLER OUT! SHE ACTUALLY LIKES YOU! WINTER DOESN'T LIKE YOU LIKE THAT AND NEVER WILL! EVERY GIRL YOU'VE DATED YOU'VE BROKEN THEIR HEARTS AND I SWEAR IF YOU DO THAT TO WINTER I WILL PERSONALLY KILL YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kellin whisper yells being careful not to let anyone else hear
"Okay, First of all I just think she's pretty. Second you know the only reason I break girls hearts. Why use that against me? I'm done with this conversation", I say storming off out of my window and into the woods. Not noticing the tears falling from my angry eyes.
I really wish I wasn't the way I was, but I am. I can't help it. That's why I don't date anymore. I hate seeing the faces of those girls. Maybe I'm not meant to love. I push the thoughts away as I climb into my favorite tree. Once I get to the top I get into the whole I carved so no one could find me. I picked up the post it notes I had in there and wrote down what happened. I have like a foot of the wall in there filled with post it notes filled with things that have happened, reality checks, funny jokes, and memories. Ya I know it's weird and kind of girly but I don't care. It makes me feel better. It is my safe place. After I'm done writing on my post it note I grab my knife and make my hole bigger. Wow I just realized something. This tree is gigantic. I also realized the noise coming from the bottom of the tree. I looked down knowing it was going to be Kellin.
"What do you want", I say my voice cracking from crying.
"I'm sorry", Kellin says finally making it to where his head was seen.
"You're just saying that", I say cruelly.
"No. I'm sorry I shouldn't have said back there. I know you're hurting and I should be more sincere, but I was to worried about you taking Winter from me. She's different and I just don't want to lose her", Kellin says quickly.
"Why am I a freak", I cry letting tears fall from my eyes.
"You're not. Nothing is wrong with you", Kellin says with only love and pain in his eyes, " What she did was wrong. She made you feel like she was your safety pin when really she wasn't. She lied and that is not okay. You're going to be okay and I'm going to be here with you every step of the way."
"What if I'm nothing but a freak", I say looking into his eyes like a lost puppy.
"Are you serious? Have you heard the way you play that guitar and the way all the girls go crazy for you. Have you heard the way you sing? Have you seen how much you make me happy on my worst days just by playing your OWN songs? If you're not anything else your a great friend and a true rock star."
"Promise", I say putting my pinky up like I was five again.
"Promise," Kellin say laughing.
"How did you find me?" I ask Kellin
"Ways that you will never know"
