Chapter 12

POV Summer
My mom went to the car to sleep since Ashton's car was pretty spacious in the back even with all of our stuff. We sat in our chairs while Winter finished her ice cream. That's all she eats when she goes to fast food restaurants. She's pretty weird and picky but that's what I love about her. Since Ashton and I, I mean Ashton, both knew she was gonna take a while we decided to get ice cream also. I have to admit the ice cream did taste pretty good. Me and Ashton both finished our ice cream like 5 minutes ago.
"Hey I am going to go get a drink refill" I tell them
"Ok. I need a refill to." Ashton says
We both get up and we walk to the refill place. I get fruit punch with a little Sprite in it and he gets Coke. We walk back to the table and I trip over an uneven piece of tile. I guess I was to deep in my own thoughts to see it. Ashton helps me up. It is so embarrassing. My shirt is wet. Can I just say my white t-shirt was not a good idea. It was a horrible idea to where a lime green bra. Everyone could see it.
"You ok?" Ashton asks
"Ya" I say my face turning bright red.
When I look down I see that my shirt has now turned see through. My face feels like it's on fire now. I look at Ashton and I think he notices my shirt.
"Do you want my hoodie", Ashton ask.
"You don't have to", I say.
"Number one that wasn't a question. Number two you will wear this there are by far way too many creeps in this world not to." he says taking off his hoodie wearing the same shirt as Winter it is totally adorable. The only difference is he cut the sleeves off his. I feel bad because it's freezing outside.
"I'm so sorry" I say
"Don't worry about it" he says
"I wish my stuff wasn't underneath all the luggage then I could get my own sweat shirt." I say
"I said it's fine" he says sounding a little annoyed with me.
"Ok" I say giving up and putting his sweatshirt on. It is super big on me. I pull out my travel mirror and look at myself. I fix the sweat shirt so I can take my wet shirt off without showing anything. I fix the shirt so that it was hanging off my shoulder so it looks girly.
"Hey. You know you actually look cute in my clothes." Ashton says making me blush so hard
"You really do" Autumn says walking into the McDonald's m
I smiled shyly and turned my head. "Let's get back on the road" I say
"Ok. Someone is suddenly in a rush" Ashton says
"I just want to leave" I say sounding like a little kid
"Ok then" Ashton says
"I'm gonna go get Winter",I say. When I go to find Winter I see she's sleeping with her head on the table. Knowing I couldn't pick her up I go to Ashton and he willing picks her up and carries her to the car. In order for my mom and Winter to sleep in the back Ashton and I have to make a bed on the seat for Winter where she will sleep and then my mom will sleep on her seat bed. I got to sit in the front with Ashton for the rest of the way which is 6 hours before he'll stop. We decided not to stop and get snacks.
"So", Ashton says breaking the silence.
"You make Winter happy you know", I say.
"Yeah."
"Thanks I don't know you that well but I do know that something about you makes the world seem like a better place" I sat
"Um thanks? That is something I do not here everyday" he says"
"Well you should"
"Well my parents tell me the complete opposite. No one else really pays that much attention to me expect you and Winter so that's probably why I don't"
"I'm sorry. No one deserves that"
"It's okay. I learned to live with it. Plus, I'm here now so I don't have to hear it anymore"
"Well, I'm sure glad you came", I say smiling up at him.
"You know you're not like the other girls"
"What do you mean"
"I mean yeah Winter she's different but she's also really dark. But you, you light up a whole room just by smiling even though you are insecure you're still willing to talk to people and give people a chance"
"Thanks. You're not too bad yourself", I said yawning.
"Is someone getting tired?" Ashton asks as he reaches over and tickles my side.
"Maybe" I say with a giggle.
"Shhh" I hear coming from the back. Winter.
"Sorry" me and Ashton say at the same time. I turn on my side "Goodnight Ashton", I say before falling asleep leaving Ashton to drive on the highway thinking about what happened.
