She looked at him blankly and grinned. Her teeth were coal black. "But Vinter... you need me in your life, you need to FEEL," she replied. "I don't need you, you're just a soul-thirsty demon who wants to dominate the galaxy after I take it over. After I claim the galaxy, you will have all the souls you want. You know what, why should I send you home. I have a bunch of hungry demon robots on board this ship right now," he retorted. He pulled a rope out from a dresser drawer and lunged at her. She turned dark and disappeared into the ground. A shadow moved across the floor, heading towards the elevator. The elevator doors flung open and slammed against the walls. Ninür's shadow crept into a crack on the elevator ceiling. She bit the wires and down the elevator flew. Once she got to the laboratory door, she came out of shadow form and kicked the doors open. Her hair was midnight black and her face was rotten and gray. She crept up the walls of the giant column. Every time her shadow went over a light, it flickered and went out. She looked in the kitchen again. There sat a full sink of dishes and dissipating steam. She roared a malicious growl, then noticed a clunking sound. On the ground was a telephone and a vent cover. The clunking was the sound of knees hitting the bottom of a vent. Ninür crept over to the vent and stuck her head in the hole. A muffled conversation was going on somewhere deep inside. Ninür returned to shadow form and began slipping through the vent. She kept making wrong turns and entering other labs. Finally she found a vent pointing the opposite direction. In all this trouble, the muffling voices had disappeared. She kept pushing her way through the vent until she found a downward exit. She slid out of the vent and landed on a concrete balcony of some kind of city, changing back to her regular form. She looked into the distance and saw little orange eyeballs moving around in a large crevice. Those eyes were the Workbots, hastily repairing Zion, with only a few days left on their project. Ninür had lost the scent and sight of the half-soul and the beaked doctor. Meanwhile, Camon and Dr. Raven had snuck into the library and back into the laboratories. Dr. Raven immediately went to his robotics lab. Camon went to the furniture lab to grab Stert. It was draped over the couch. Camon snatched the bandana up and tied it around his neck. Dr. Raven was rummaging in a box on a low shelf. The box was newly opened and on the side it was labeled Scrap. He began pulling large metal bars from the box and putting them on a desk. After 4 of them were laid out, he moved to a different box labeled Blades. He pulled out 6 long metal blades with strange circles on the not-sharp end of them. He laid them out below the metal bars on the table. Camon was making his way up to him on a vine hand. As he neared the balcony to the robotics lab, he saw Dr. Raven slip on a strange backpack and press a blue button. 10 pieces of metal flew off of the desk and hung midair in a sort of wing format behind the man. Camon slipped out of the vine hand and onto the balcony. "Woah," he breathed. "Now I have my wings back," he exclaimed. Camon never even noticed he was missing wings; he forgot he was from the Cro race. Dr. Raven fluttered his magnetic wings and snatched Camon off his feet, jumping off the balcony and soaring down the column to the elevator doors. When he busted through them, he noticed that the elevator doors had been broken off, and the elevator was missing. "Guess that just makes my job easier, Dr. Raven said, grabbing Camon again and flying down the elevator chute until they reached the Zion entrance. Dr. Raven used his button as a joystick and sent his wing blades crashing through the closed elevator doors, slicing right through. He called them back and progressed into the city. Everything was shroud in darkness and a strange dark mist was about. The orange glowing eyes of the Workbots had ceased. Dr. Raven saw a Workbot nearby and examined it. Camon watched him click a switch to battle mode. The Workbot awoke and drove across the main city towards the Ism hotel. Camon watched it tumble over the edge into the abyss. "Nice try," said a dark voice behind them. They whipped around and gasped at Ninür in her demon form, hanging upside down from the ceiling with her mouth gaped in a terrifying grin. "Dinnertime!" she yelled, leaping towards them. Dr. Raven shielded himself and Camon with his wings and Camon whipped Stert off of his neck. Dr. Raven pointed his blades forward and Camon charged through them with a barrage of lasers. Dr. Raven called his blades to Camon and they swung around him, making sure that Ninür had no opportunity to get close. Ninür slipped back into shadow form and fell from the ceiling. She waded through the ground until she was over Camon. Then she seized him. He yelped and fell to the ground. A shadowy liquid rose up from the ground and covered him, then turning into the dark and brooding demon. "You've got half a meal I'm willing to eat, and you brought a whole other one just for me as well. How generous of you," she growled. Dr. Raven shot his blades at her and knocked her across the room. They penetrated through her stomach and her left arm, but it didn't stop her. She casually yanked them out, not feeling a thing. Camon whipped his bandana at her again, sending another few lasers her way. She rolled out of the way and grinned. "You two are going to have to try harder than that", she screeched. While she was bickering, Dr. Raven sent his blades behind her to try to sneak an attack from behind. Camon sent more lasers forward, and Dr. Raven sent his blades towards he back. Ninür backed away from the lasers only to be stabbed in the back. Ninür once again grinned and shrieked, "You fools never learn, you don't know how to kill a demon." "They might not, but I do," Savant yelled from the balcony above. Workbots crashed through the storefront windows into the plaza. They were carrying large bags of... road salt? The Workbots took small shovels and began tossing salt at Ninür. She hissed and backed up. "FOOL. I TRUSTED YOU," Ninür screamed. Camon took his chance at a hit on Ninür, swinging his bandana once again. Lasers shot out straight for the demons throat. Sure enough, multiple lasers pierced through, decapitating Ninür. The gloom from above fell as small pink petals. The Workbots blew them all over the city with vacuums. Soon, the city of Zion would be completed. They also finally eliminated their problem, but there was surely more to come.
