Camon stood astounded at the massiveness of the history bookshelf. He started searching through the titles and began finding books that he knew had the essential information he needed. The first one he picked up was called Creation of the Cult, which seemed like a book he needed. He took the book and the pile under his arms to the front of the library. He placed them on the desk of the old librarian. "Would you like to stay here and read or check out?", she rasped. Camon thought about the Mangle in the hotel. "You know what, I'll just stay here.", he finally replied. He took the books off and walked towards a nearby desk. The desk glowed a strange purple, and the wood the desk was made of was the same shade of purple. "Careful," the old lady said, "that desk is maddening.... crazy, I mean." Camon looked down at the desk and sat at it anyway. He peered into the first book, Creation of the Cult. "The Cult was a ship built in the year 23X as a home for aliens who wanted to....", the book read, but the next part was scratched off. He hoped no other parts of the book were like that. He continued reading until the light from the candle on the desk was the only thing he could see with. He yawned, closed the book he was reading, and looked back at the old lady at her desk. When he turned, he realized the only light in the room were candles on his desk and the librarians desk. "It's quite late sir, you should really head home. That desk will keep you in it's trance forever if you stay any longer.", the librarian croaked without looking behind her. "That's really strange, why does it do that?", asked Camon. The librarian rose and wobbled over to a stack of books. She examined the covers of all of them and slid out one near the bottom. She opened to the middle of the book and began reading. She looked up at Camon and said, "That desk is made of ravenwood, an enchanted wood Dr. Raven discovered flying over a forest on a distant Terran planet." She looked into the book and began reading, "Date: 12/6/29X Entry: I have finally mapped out my 1000th Terran planet. There are many new species here, and I'll be taking it over for research until I find them all. So far I have examined the strange purple tree known as Ravenwood. I absolutely love this tree and plan on growing it in the Sanctuary very soon." The librarian closed the book and put it under the pile. "Excuse me miss... actually... what is your name?", Camon questioned. "My name is Miss Raven.", she answered back. "Oh... So you're Dr. Raven's wife?", he asked. "Haha! No way! I'm a widow, and Dr. Raven is my son.", Miss Raven cackled. Camon looked away embarrassingly. "Oh yeah... I was asking you... Are those your sons journals?", Camon asked. "Why yes, he and his father's journals are all here.", she replied. "His father was the partner of Master V, and helped build the... Cult.", she added. "Master... V?", Camon wondered. "You have much to learn young man.... much to learn.", Miss Raven said with a smile. "Now, you should be heading home!", she scolded, pointing her finger at him violently. Camon waddled his way towards the door tiredly, taking with him Creation of the Cult, which he was nearly done reading. "Thank you Miss Raven", Camon said, closing the door on the library.
