Out Of Order

He removed his hands from either side of the girl and stood up straight. Turning around, he threw another punch at the same spot.

This time I let out a low cry from the pain but didn't fall. I sniffed and wiped the blood from my nose again.

“You hit like a virgin chick from a really bad Asian movie,” I lied making him fume even more. My head was throbbing from the pain, I felt the blood go over my lips and drip on my shirt. But I continued to mentally break him, maybe it'll get to his thick head that he's not as bad ass as he likes to think he is.

He closed the distance and stood over me with a twisted expression on his face. We were the same height so I didn't have to look up to stand nose to nose with him. I didn't flinch or move an inch. We stayed like this for what felt like minutes but were only seconds.

We played the staring contest until I looked at the girl behind him who was now worried about what his next move might be. I signaled with my eyes for her to pull the fire alarm that was inches away from where she stood. She scooted towards it. Refocusing back on his eyes, I let out a soft smirk. His expression remained hard with disgust.

“Come on tough guy. What's the matter? Did the first two punches hurt your knuckles that much.” I lifted one eyebrow and clenched my jaw.

He moved his hands to grab my neck. I glared at the girl who then pulled the fire alarm without a second of hesitation. The sound was louder than I thought it would be, we both flinched in surprise. I quickly regained composure.

Students poured out of their classes quickly with the intention of running out of the building. At the mere sight of us however, they stopped and made a circle around the three of us.

“WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON HERE!” A staff member screamed as he pushed through the crowd and stopped. Like the students, he was surprised.

It took him a couple of moments to take in the scene. The crying girl, bloody me, and a pissed off lunatic.

“To the principal's office, now!”

I looked at the boy who punched me and then back at the staff member and scuffed.

“How pathetic.” I mumbled at the teacher leaving him shocked and walked past him towards the nurses room.

He flushed. Embarrassed by my audacity to point out his lack of skills where it concerns dealing with teens or underage students. What teacher ignores a bleeding student and screams for them to go to the office?

Minutes later I was sitting carelessly in a chair with my head back and an ice pack over my nose. The nurse quickly 'fixed' it and said that it wasn't broken but needed some ice. She then sent me to the office.

We waited for the principal to come back from a "meeting," in other words he was taking a number two.

I removed the ice pack and lifted my head. The girl was staring at me from across the office with her finger nails practically digging into her hands. The boy that was manning up to her stood over her which made me uncomfortable enough to speak.

"Come here," I motioned for the girl. She stood slowly and made her way towards me, "sit here."

She hesitated for a moment before she finally sat down. The boy's expression was priceless, he wanted badly to do something but he couldn't because of the two women working behind the desk. Ignoring his glare, I leaned my head back and placed the ice on my nose again.

The principal walked in, he stopped in front of the door way and placed his hands on his hips. "What's this I hear."

I stayed quiet as the two love birds tried to explain.
