Meriç arrived fifteen minutes later with the extra clothing I told him to bring for me. I needed a disguise and what better way to disguise myself? He entered the arcade we first met at with his eyes wide open sneaking a peak behind himself every other second.

"Did anyone follow you?" I asked grabbing the bag from his hand.

He shook his head and watched me examine the components of the bag.

"Now will you tell me what's going on? And what the hell happened to your face?"

I pulled out Meriç's shirt and hoodie. Keeping my clothes on so Meriç's didnt look baggy on me, I wore the hoodie over the shirt. I dug in the bag and panicked when I didn't find everything I told him to bring.

I looked up at him and then back in the bag. "Where's the cover up?" I kept digging in the bag, "and the wig?"

When he didnt reply, I glared at him. "Meriç?"

He sighed and pulled them out of his pockets. I tried to grab for them.

"Ah aa," he stretched his hand away from my reach. "I want to know what's happening."

"Okay I will explain bu-" I reached again failing.

"First." He ordered more seriously.

I sighed giving up and pulled on Meriç's sweatpants over my jeans. "Okay," looking around the arcade, I tucked my hair under the shirt, placed the Detroit cap on my head, and lifted the hood over it. "Come on," I grabbed his arm. "Not here though."

By the time we made it to the park, Meriç's impatience became palpable. We sat in the middle of dense trees and bushes.

"We even have to hide here? Despite the fact youre disguized? Who are you running from..." he shouts shaking me ... "AlCapone?!?"

"Worse!" Maybe that's an overstatement.

He raised his eyebrows, "go on."

"I got mixed up with a murderer." I bit my lip waiting for him to grasp my confession. He didnt react.

"Well hello? Say something!" I shoved his shoulder.

"Do you have any idea how many murderers there are in this world? Doctors, Lawyers, police officers, sol-... wait were you attacked? Is that what happened to your face?" He reached forward and I let him touch my nose.

"No, no that's not what happened." I shoved his hand away after he felt the swelling. "I mean. It is what happened but my attacker is not the same person hunting me down."

"Arent you getting famous. Even the Gods are paying you a visit. Your nose is just Karma... remember the football?"

"What," I shook my head frowning in amazement at his sudden attempt at lightening the mood. "Meriç! I am being serious here." "A man named Jeff-"

My voice was caught in my throat.

Oh my God. Austin. I needed to talk to Austin.

Jeff's his brother! Sudden regret flushed every inch of my being, I shouldve listened to him when he told me to stear clear of Jeff!

Stupid eggs, stupid lock picker, and stupid smart-ass-I-care about-you personality. Why do i always want to make judgement of people on my own! Why dont I ever trust their reputations.

"Austin was his brother, Audrie, his brother! And he knew him better than you! But nooo, Audrie had to judge by the cover."

I didnt realize I was mumbling and stomping away from Meriç until he grabbed my arm. "Hey, hey. Where are you going?"
