Meeting Jeff

I ran out into the hall. His friend didn't come yet. So I dropped down, crossed my legs, and decided to wait.

Twenty minutes later, I awoke staring into the face of a very handsome man. I smiled thinking the man was probably another figment of my imagination or a character from one of my crazy dreams. It wasn't until the face started talking to me that I realized it was a real person. The people in my dreams don't talk without my script, neither do the ones in my imagination.

I screamed and moved away from the man. I stood a good 5 feet away from him. He looked at me as if I was the one who intruded his personal space.

"What are you doing out here?" The handsome man asked with a husky voice that hinted an accent.

"This is my room, what are you doing here!" I pointed around. I frowned when I remembered that I slept in the hall waiting for Raimondo's friend. "Shit, I'm sorry. You're Raimondo's boyfriend."

The man smirked, "is that what he calls me around here. I am NOT his boyfriend and if that's what he told you, then he probably said it to get rid of you." He turned towards Raimondo's door. "Speaking of the devil, where is he. I've been knocking for a while now."

I smiled sarcastically at the man and swinged my apartment door open.

Getting the wrong message, he held his hands up. "I'm sorry. You are a very lovely lady but I can't do this." He pointed into my apartment.

Unbelievable! My jaw dropped and I crossed my hands over my chest.

Afraid he may have offended me, he came closer and placed his hands on either shoulder. "I promise, it's not you. It's..."

He trailed off as he looked behind me and into my apartment. He spotted Raimondo asleep on the sofa.

"...oh... I see." He chuckled and blushed.

"I'm Jeff," he extended his hand for me to shake.
