We were running through the woods. The wolves were running with me. I felt so powerful carrying my sword. Everything was so woozy, it felt like a dream.
Maybe it was.
I reached a clearing where a girl was screaming. Abby, or whatever it's name was, was on top of her.
She stop thrashing at the girl when we arrived.
"Oh boy! Company!" she said pausing and turning around. "Nice of you to join us. I must say it's been almost a century since I've met someone who wielded a dragons sword. Their will be more of us. We've been hunting for the swords, so even if you succeed in taking me down, you'll never be safe." It spat.
The thing cackled. "What happened too the times when you sword wielded turned your head, and let us do our roam of terror peacefully. You care to much for these normal humans. You're better than them. Can't you see. You have power my dear." It pointed at Lizzie. The girl laying on the ground bleeding, and trembling. "Power to crush little bitches like her."
"I am doing the will of the creator, by getting rid of you, of you're vicious, unnecessary terror." I said. The voice was mine, but stronger, and more confident, and more noble.
"Oh please!" She spat. "You swear it be your destiny now, when really, it will be your downfall."
I had enough of her cackling speech. I raised the sword high in the air. Lightening was swirling high around me, and into my sword. I thrust the lightening out towards Abby. It missed her because she used her speed. The wolves were off somewhere in the distance watching and waiting.
"Eyes of the dragon!" I whispered to myself and I could see beyond sight. The world had turned into a black field, with white lines creating the images of objects, showing me where everything in my path was.
How did I know how to do that? I wondered.
I walked towards Sam and Jacob. "distract her by acting as if you are going to attack, then I'll throw my sword into her chest!"
They immediately ran and did what I said.
I heard the she-devil cackling. "You sent your little dogs on me." She said from somewhere in a distance. I seen where she was running. On this field my eyes could see a lot.
I ran out and intervened where she would be turning around a tree, and stabbed her right through the back. Lightening flew through her body, wiping away all evil. I pulled the sword out to see if she was still alive.
Abby lay bleeding out on the ground. No pulse, but she was her human form again. Blood stained her clothes where the knife had stabbed through her.
I heard a rustling in the trees. I looked up to see Alexander clapping his hands.
"Well done!" He said. "You just killed apart of my heart. She was trying to do you a favor Anala, after all, that little wretched human did, try to put a stake in your claim earlier."
"My name is A.J."
"Cute!" Alexander said. I was trembling a bit. Before I'd picked up this sword I thought I had a friend in Alex. Now, I was going to have to kill him. Jacob was next to me snarling.
"I see you brought your pets!" He continued. "Where is Anioch hmmmh? You two hardly ever fight without each other. Where there is one, there is the other."
"Who the fuck was Anioch." I though I had said that in my head.
"Anioch is the name of the other sword. Usually both wielders find each other at the same time." Alexander answered for me.
