Running with the wolves

Somethings got to give.

"So what do you wanna do Leah?" I asked her. We were driving in my car, trying to decide. I had already asked her about Abby and Lizzie. Lizzie was fine, just some scratches, and Abby's body had turned to dust as soon as sunrise hit. Apparently that was the norm for Gemini demons.

"I don't know. Well, we could go to the party store out by the mall. I wanted to have a BBQ/sleep over next weekend. And we can go get the stuff we need."

We went to the party store. It was 11:30 when we were done, so we decided to get lunch at steak-n-shake.

After ordering, and receiving our food, I decided that I was going to pester Leah with questions.

"so," I said between eating a chicken strip. I had this devious smirk on my face. " You like Alex?" I asked her. I was just waiting for her to try and deny it.

"No." She said avoiding my gaze. "I just wanted to go get your car earlier. I mean Alex is cool, but, Actually let me just answer your real question." She pointed her french fry at me, she acted like she was getting interrogated by the police. "I didn't imprint on him. But geez, he is attractive, and I thought he might have been the one, but no, that's why I offered to go get your freakin' car. I thought my body had like somehow made a mistake. You just don't understand my desperation. I'm ready to get over Sam, he has Emily, and I have nobody." She said, slamming the french fry she'd been pointing at me back in the basket.

"you were with Sam?" I asked completely shocked.

She told me the story of her and Sam, and then Emily.

"I'm sorry Leah." I said after awhile.

"Its okay." she said.

"I guess we're just gonna have to find you a man girl," I said looking at her smiling, but I was serious.

She smiled at me , then with a serious face said, "You've got to be kidding me."

"Nope." I smirked at her.

There were a group of men about two tables away. They all looked between 22-24. There was one really cute one, with Black hair, and blue eyes. He looked like the boy who played on Smallville. I got up and made my way over.

"Hello!" I said to the men. They all smiled and acknowledged me.

"HEY!" They all chorused. Leah gave me a look that said I'm going to kill you from across the room. I shrugged it off.

All the men were staring, waiting for me to speak, when I looked at the one with black haired one and said.

"What's your name?"

"John." He told me. The look on his face was slightly amused. He looked at his friends and gave them the OMG. look.

"Well sweetheart, I hope you're single, and if so, you'll follow me." I said. I winked at him, and starting walking away.

He looked at his friends and shrugged. Then got up to follow.

"John," I said when he'd reached my table. "This is Leah. Leah, John." He slid into my spot. Shaking her hand. I grabbed my food, "Now if you'll excuse me" I said. Winking at Leah. I went to sit at the table with John's friends. I found out their names were Dustin, he was the brunette with pretty green eyes, Zac, the blonde hair and blue eyes, and Jared, the dirty brown, with golden eyes.

We talked about cars, laughed about the waiters hitting on them, and talked about Leah and John.

We all agreed that they'd be seeing each other again. I got all their numbers and invited them to the BBQ next week. It was fun meeting new people. It was time to go so I told the boys bye. I sent a look towards Leah, to let her know it was time to go, and walked out the door to the restaurant.
