My dreams were blank. I just sleep. I guess I was tired. I woke up to Jacob in my face, saying baby. "Its 4:30," I heard Jacob whisper in my ear. He rubbed his finger softly across my face. "Bae!" Jacob said. "I'm reeeeaady!"He whined.

"Get out my face Jack-cob!" I groaned. He was about to get beat up. I sat up in my bed. I looked around. I groaned again, and fell back to the bed. I had to get my attitude together before I had dinner with Billy, Rachel and Jake.

"Okay!" I sighed while still laying flat in bed. I grabbed a pillow, then squeezed it to my face. I sat straight up. The pillow was still in my hand, and Jack-cob, was still in my face.

I started malling him with the pillow. It was funny.

I finally stop hitting him to see the shocked expression on his face. He had the what-the-heck look , then it slowly started spreading into a smile. I sprang out of bed and attempted to run, but Jake caught me around the waist. I was still trying to run, which was pointless because my feet weren't touching the ground. Jake had picked me up. He started tickling me, and I was squiggling around uncontrollably.

"Okay!" I yelled, "I give up. It's 4:45 we gotta go to the store." I panted, a little out of breath.

Jake just smiled at me and said "I thought you'd see it my way."

I grabbed my purse and put on my shoes.

We were walking out to my car, and I threw Jacob the keys. He didn't say anything, he just smiled as he caught them, and slid into the drivers seat.

"I could get used to a life with you." he said. "well, actually, it's all I'd ever want."

I smiled. I couldn't use my words. I actually didn't feel like talking, and Jacob caught on. It would be a mime grocery trip.

In the store, Jacob pushed the cart, and I grabbed everything we needed for the food, and the evening. I had decided that I was making pasta bake, and not hamburgers. I even grabbed a couple of movies, some snacks, and candy.

I picked up a case of beer, and eyed Jacob questionably.

He smiled at my non-talking and shook his head yes. I put the case in the cart. I had got it for Billy, I knew the cashier wouldn't card me, they never did.

We checked out and as we were were walking to the car, I decided to speak finally.

"That was fun, we should quietly grocery shop more often."

Jacob snorted as he loaded the thing into the cart.

At Billy's house we were all laughing and talking while the food cooked. Paul was over also, apparently him and Rachel were inseparable. "So, she just buys a case of beer?" Billy asked. "No I.D or anything, she's either gonna be trouble or really handy." Billy said joking.

"Now, I could see them not carding Jake, but Little A.J doesn't look a day over 18." I laughed. I didn't look my age either. I got up to check on the food. It was ready. I got the pasta bake out, set the table, and called everyone in for dinner. It was delicious, Pasta bake, a side salad, french bread, and cranberry juice. I was saving the whine for when Jake and I got back to my house. I was sure all the couple's would be there, and Paul and Rachel were invited, so we'd turn the rest of the night after we were done here into a couple's night. My house had three spare bedrooms since my mom had moved out, so, Paul and Rachel could stay.

"This is sooo good A.j" Paul complimented.

"I agree." Billy said.

Rachel and Jake just nodded in agreement.

"So how does it feel to be seventeen and all on your own?" Rachel asked.

"Well, I'm not really on my own. My mah's pretty much got me covered, and Kayline and Lilly live with me." I told her.

"Oh, so you don't pay bills?"

"No, the house is payed for. There are the utilities of course, but I have a separate bill account with money for that."

"So, what about spending money?" Rachel was apparently full of questions tonight.

"I have an account for that also." Rachel looked at me in awe.

"So you're practically rich?" she asked.

"My mom is, sorta kinda. She's wealthy, and she conservative, and saves a lot." I told her.

"So how is your mom "wealthy" and not you?" she put up hand quotes as she said wealthy.

"Umm, cause once the money runs out, I'm obviously going to have to get a job." I stated. It kind of hit me too. I would have to get a job soon.

"Why won't she just give you more?"

I laughed. Rachel was so curious. "Because I have to learn to take care of myself." I told her shaking my head at all her questions.

"Well, how much mon-" She started but was cut off by Billy.

"That's enough questions Rachel." He looked at her sternly . I didn't mind the questions though. My living situation is odd looking to outsiders.

"So how about that movie night!" Billy said smiling and looking at everyone.

"So, which movie?" Jacob asked. He was holding up a choice of three movies. Rampage, Promethius, and Grown ups 2. We all said Grown ups 2.

We all laughed and watched the movie. I looked at Jacob, he looked like a kid, having family night. I was glad that he was enjoying himself. After the first movies, and an over-indulgence of candy and snacks Billy said he was calling it a night. He rolled himself to his room.

"So I guess I'll be leaving too." I looked up at Jake.

"Yeah." he sighed.

I grabbed my stuff and started heading to the door.

"It was nice chilling with you A.j." Rachel said. "Sorry about all the questions, it was just interesting."

"Its okay, I didn't mind, I know my living situation is weird" I smiled at her and gave her a hug bye. I hugged Paul bye too. "you should come over and cook more often." He said.

"I'll try." I laughed. "But I'm sure Rachel has it covered." He gave me the are-you-kidding-me look. I laughed again.

Jacob left with me out to the car.

I turned to look at him. "That was fun huh?"

"Yeah." He said smiling. His voice sounded groggy, like he'd been crying, or like he'd just woken up. "My dad likes you."

"exactly what I was going for." I told him. "So, you ready to go?" I asked him. I was expecting him to go, after all, it was like he lived with me.

"I'm staying home tonight." he told me.

"Oh." I was a tad bit hurt, a little surprised, but not mad. Maybe he just needed his space. "Okay, I'll see you tomorrow. Maybe?" I added hopefully.

He smiled and hugged me. He chuckled."Don't act like this is goodbye forever, because I'm not staying the night tonight." He kissed me on the lips and I got in my car and left. So much for couple's night.

I got home, said hi to everyone in my house: Embry, Kayline, Quil, and Lily, and then went to bed.

~Jacob's P.O.V~

I felt bad for letting my baby go home by herself, but I had gotten a text from Sam that just killed me. I hid it, because I didn't want to ruin our little "family night." I looked at my phone, re-reading the text.

Sam- They're changing her tonight.

I slammed my phone down. I don't know why I still even cared. I was just so angry. Why would she pick dying over living. I just couldn't stand it. Run. Was all I was thinking. So, I left my phone there, and that's what I did.
