I finish stuffing my necessary items in my bag. I'm only bringing my backpack with a few necessities. I have to travel light so it won't seem so obvious. Plus with the money I have and make I should be able to afford a small place. I finished putting in my journal and put it by the door. *beep beep* my phone buzzed. I pick it up to find a reminder. 'Time to talk to Jesus' the screen reads. Oh yeah! The concert, I have to get ready. I pull out my outfit and lay it out on my bed. It's a plain black t-shirt and jeans with my combat boots. I have been wearing my hair in a braid  since the third day of of school of school, so like forever. I think I'll have it down this time. Once I'm done I look in the mirror. I sigh.

"Like the first time they met you."

I walk in the school holding my leather jacket and looking around as if it were my first time here. The office was empty and the trophy case never looked so glum. I walked to the center and said "I guess this is good bye." Then the door opened. I turned around to find Kevin. He smiled and walked over to the me.

"Wow. You look nice with your hair down. I never saw it like this."

"I wore it like this on the first day of school. I guess you haven't since you met me on my fifth day."

"Well its nice."

"Thanks. "

Just then Hope walks in.

"You made it!" She shrieked

"Yep and we're all ready to go!" Kevin answered

We all walked in the gym together. It looked amazing!  It was loud but amazing. The lights were so colorful. It had this affect on the room that made everything feel like it was going in slow motion. Every one was laughing, talking, and enjoying their self. It looked like a random party. Every person dressed nicely and (most importantly) appropriately. It was jus breathe taking. We had some great laughs. We talked and talked. We ate snacks and had some soda.  Just great. I then leave and go to the bathroom. I look in the mirror and smile.  This has been one of my favorite memories. I walk back out ready to say bye. I can't find them! I can't leave without saying goodbye. It's going to be impossible to find them in this crowd.

They don't know I'm leaving for good. The least I can do is say bye. I keep searching but it's like they never existed. Finally the extreme lights turn off and the normal lights are on. A band walks up on stage and they start singing a song. This can't be happening. I walk outside and towards the side of the building.

"Papa! Their singing.... their singing - your song. Your favorite song!  I remember how much you loved it. How you'd sing it to me when I was sad. How you sing it when you were looking for faith. To have faith that every thing would one day be okay." I cried

"Daddy! I miss you! I miss you daddy! I can't live without you! I want mom home. I want to see the family together!  I need you daddy!  I need you!"

"Then go." Replied a voice. I looked up to see a girl. She had big brown/hazel eyes and her hair was brown. She had smooth skin. She was a fair height and had a gentle smile.

"What? Who are you?" I asked

"You want your father then go. He's not here. The only way you're going to be able to speak to him is through God. You say that's your father's favorite song." I nod

"Then go and sing it to the Lord and he'll know what you wish for."

"But-"

"No. Casey I know who you are. Your struggling. With family and the Lord. Your hardworking and intelligent. You care for others and your loyalty is admired. I also know when you were young. You were a faithful servant of God. You know what he can do. The Lord brought this world and he can bring your father. Now go."

I wiped my tears and headed to the gym. I turned back around but the girl was gone. I smiled. .
