I was walking through the hallways after school, dragging my feet to detention.
"Don't want to be late for detention, now do you Ms. Dawson?" Sean's voice said from behind me.
I turned around and smiled. "Of course not."
"Then I guess you won't mind me being your escort?" His green eyes held mischief.
I rolled my eyes. "Sir, I don't need to be babysat."
Sean laughed. "You're kidding me right?"
I may get sent to the principals office twice a week, but Sean has to be the coolest principal ever. Most of them hate me because I'm a 'troublemaker'. Not Sean. Occasionaly I get a laugh out of him from my reasons of punching guys in the face. I know I'm one of his favorite students. I'm the only girl that goes into his office not complaining about how "some bitch took my boyfriend, so I slapped her." He hates dealing with that stuff, and I always end up laughing at him.
"Why, hello there, darling." Ian's voice said from next me. An arm went around my shoulders.
I threw Ian's arm off me, and started walking away.
"See you soon, Ellody." Sean called after me.
I waved my hand in the air, telling him I heard him, and kept walking.
Ian caught up to me, and smiled. "So where is this lovely detention room?"
I huffed, and kept my mouth shut.
After a couple minutes of silence, I stopped outside the science lab, aka. detention.
I opened the door, only to see Mr. Burtner, the worst teacher in the school.
"You're both late." He spat.
He's the worst teacher, and the smelliest. I swear, this guy smells like shit, and and elephants ass. It's terrible.
His gray hair was really greasy, you could give him a mohawk, and it would stay up on its own. His shirts were always wrinkled, and had some sort of stain on it.
"Whatever." I said, taking my seat in the back of the smelly classroom.
Ian followed, and took the seat beside me.
"Let's explain the rules of detention." Mr. Burtner said, taking out an onion from his lunch sack. "No talking, no texting, no note passing, no laugh-"
The science lab door opened to reveal a kid with longish dark brown hair, and the brownest eyes I've ever seen. He was wearing a simple gray t shirt, and black skinny jeans with some black Vans. "Sorry, I was just looking around."
"I've never seen you before..." Mr. Burtner said.
The kid stepped inside the classroom, and his face scrunched up. "Oh my-what the hell is that smell?!" He brought his hand up to his face, and plugged his nose.
"Excuse me?"
I heard Ian chuckle next to me, and I smiled. His reaction was priceless.
"Sorry. Uh, I'm starting here next week, so I was just checking out the school while my dad was talking to the principal." The kid said.
I swear. I think I saw his eyes water from the smell.
I let out a giggle, and the guys eyes snapped to mine. He looked me over and smiled.
Mr. Burtner looked at me, and narrowed his eyes. "Ms. Dawson, do I need to explain the rules of detention to you again. I'm pretty sure you know them by heart by now."
