Authors Note: Chapter Ten already... I need to slow down so I don’t make it any more worse then it is, and try and make the story a little longer.

Charlie didn’t even get on his knee’s when he proposed to me, he claimed his knee was sore so he couldn’t.

I stuttered when I said yes, and now I know why he asked silver or gold. It was pretty obvious anyway, but you know me, oblivious and all.

Charlie expected me to immediately ring everyone, telling them the news and planning the big wedding... I’m not like that though.

I did ring my parents, telling them I’m engaged. Charlie has met them briefly before, but not long enough to exchange background stories. Mum told me to bring Charlie to the house around five o’clock tonight and she will make dinner, and dad will want to talk to us.

My father isn’t the greatest, he treats me as if I am still four years old and rarely ever get’s along with the guy’s I bring over, except for Jonathan who was into guys. I guess Jonathan wasn’t a threat for ‘daddy’s little girl.’

Charlie pulled a jacket over his shoulders and looked me up and down, smiling to himself. “Okay, they will ask you questions” I  mentioned as I straightened his shirt and patted his shoulders randomly, “lots and lots of questions.”

“I’m good at answers” he replied, taking my hands. “Should I be worried?” He asked, I inhaled and closed my eyes, breathing out when I shook my head.

We arrived a short time after five o’clock, and I warned Charlie that father would be displeased.

“If you’re marrying my daughter you could at least get her to places on time” father greeted us gruffly, his name was Matthew, and mother’s name is Shiloh. “I’m sorry sir” Charlie said, looking at me with a uneasy expression.

“Traffic was bad dad” I muttered as I kissed him on the cheek, I already knew Matthew wasn’t paying attention as he watched Charlie.

“Any tattoo’s?” Matthew asked, Charlie shook his head.

Dinner went rather quickly, but I was worried when Matthew took Charlie outside onto the deck.

Authors Note: Sorry! It ended pretty quickly, but I’d like to stop the chapter there.
