Slender

It was just an average Thursday for me. Nothing special had happened and nothing was going to. I just sat at home hanging out.

Tomorrow was the beginning of the best summer ever. A whole summer with my best friends at my family's cabin in the woods. And this wasn't just any party. It was the end-o-year bash. My six closest friends were coming. I was elated.

Friday came soon enough and my friends started arriving.

Tarin, Abby, Sam, Brianna, Hanna and Emily were finally all here.

We were going to go swim in the pool I had in my backyard.

We lived in the country but there were woods all around us that went for miles. We were almost in the middle of nowhere.

Our pool was big so we had lots of room to swim, dive and splash like the silly people we knew we were. We had so much fun doing tricks off the diving board and hitting each other with pool noodles.

We were having so much fun we didn't notice the man, no the thing, watching us from the woods.
