We tried to stay positive. We tried to keep walking. But it wasn't working. The sun was nearly down and after walking forever we were all tired and hungry.
We all walked in silence.
Snap! Snap!
I whipped my head around to barely catch something out of the corner of my eye. A person.
Everybody was thinking the same thing, because we had all seen who it was.
It was Justin.
"Justi- What the hell!?" Said Austin
"Are we sure it was him?" I said, not even believing what I saw. "Maybe it was a deer or something..."
"No, it can't have been!" Sam nearly shouted. "We were being far to noisy for one to even want to get near us!"
I gripped Aaron's arm tightly, willing him to not run again. But he stood his ground.
I think we all knew it was Justin, not that anyone would dare say it aloud.
Just then, Hanna screamed.
Her scream was stifled quickly by who I thought had been Austin, who was standing next to her.
But I did a double take and Austin had backed away, nearer to Sam again. He looked shocked.
Everything seemed to stand still, for far to long. It was near complete silence. The only sounds you could here were the heavy breathing and small grunts, coming from Hanna who was struggling, and the occasional small little bird in the trees.
It was dark outside and difficult to see anything. But when we had all broken away from our shock and had all turned to look toward Hanna.
We all saw.
I heard a small gasp escape from Aaron.
It was Justin. Standing there. His eyes free of color, completely black. His skin pasty white and his face an surly expression.
He stood there, a knife to Hanna's neck.
