Chapter # 13: Awkward

Cris's P.O.V

Since I didn't have to work today, I basically  sat around being a couch potato, but it was nice and relaxing.... well until my little brother stormed in with Dane in his arms.... god, what am I gonna do with this kid...

"umm Kain, aren't you two suppose to be at school, and Dane what's with the long hair and girl clothes? that's not who you are" facing them as I spoke, I some what regretted what I said seeing as what I saw before me was a very angry looking Kain and a now crying Dane,...oh how I just made an ass of myself, "Okay I take that back, what is wrong?"

"well if you stopped to ask that first, Dane maybe wouldn't be crying, and it's a long story" Kain says through gritted teeth. turning to leave me questioning what was going on, I hear a small mumble that sounded like it came from Dane, Kain slouching his shoulders puts him down, Dane now facing me walks over and sits down, I follow suit and sit by him.

"what's really going on Dane?" I know I didn't know him very well but come on, I've been kicked out of my own house  with my little brother traveling however we could just to get here, and i do have my fair share of fights with my parents too.

"...my mom made me do all this.. s-she took all m-my guy clothes an-and told me I have to act like a girl cause s-she already told to whole s-school it was all an act... and i don't want my p-parents to separate cause of me.." Hearing this my heart just dropped, his mom really didn't approve of him being a guy, and the fact that she did all that.. like wow...

"shh, shh it's okay.." moving closer i pull him into a hug, i knew i was pushing it for Kain but he came over to me to talk so what am i to do say no? hearing him huff we both hear him storm up the stairs, which caused Dane to start crying even harder, "shh, it's okay , he's just being childish about this okay"

"no... it's because I'm t-talking to you better then i was talking to h-him about it....w-we came here to think of a way to explain to m-my mother why i s-skipped school...."taking it all in , I could understand why that might hurt Kain's feelings, it probably took him all day to get him to say just that.... geez.

 "Look I'll go talk to Kain, and then we all can just take some time to calm down and relax a bit then think of something alright." nodding his head in agreement, I get up and head up stairs. Reaching the third floor I stand in the door way of Kain's room.

"what do you want?" looking down at his own hands as he spook through his teeth, I knew he was trying to calm himself down.

"look man, Dane told me what he told you , I know nothing else, and right now he needs you not me.." taking a step inside his room, I was hoping for the best outcome... I really wasn't up for another fight with him, really all I wanted to do was relax on the couch and order pizza or something.

"sigh... you're right... I should be down there with him, and not up here.." getting up from the edge of his bed he made his way out of his room and down the stairs, nodding my head to myself I walk into my room and lay on my bed, there's no rush for me to go down there. closing my eyes, I knew I was gonna fall asleep, not like I was going to stop that from happening, I was planning of having a nap anyways.

Dane's P.O.V

After Kain came down and talked to me for a bit, we were now just cuddling on the couch, it was nice to be in his arms but... I just wished I didn't look like a freaking girl... in a few days I'd be able to take them out cause the glue would be wearing out to nothing so... at least that's a up side. Resting my head on his shoulder, I play with his fingers , I laugh a bit as I made them look like hooker's legs dancing

"would you stop that?" chuckling himself, I look up to see him looking back at me, feeling my cheeks heat up, I wanted to look away and hide my face but I just couldn't, I was glued to his eyes, they were so perfect, even if they didn't match, as one was green and the other blue, they still looked beautiful. From being in a trance like state I hadn't noticed how close we were till I felt his soft breathing on my lips. Looking down I slightly turn my head away only to be stopped by his hand pulling my chin up  to face him again, another few moments go by as we just stare into each others eyes. with only a inch or so between us, it was quickly closed as Kain moved his lips over mine, with out even thinking my lips move with his and god did it feel good, with in seconds I was on my back on with Kain over me, wrapping my arms around his neck, my fingers tangling in his hair, I gently pull on it, receiving a deep moan from him. feeling his tongue skim over my lower lip asking for entrance, I grant it, sighing into the kiss when our tongues collide. The kiss grows heated as I trail my hands down his neck and chest to his abs only to be stopped by the sudden sound of someone clearing their throat.
