Ryan ||

We arrived at a hospital.

"Tyler?" I asked again

"Megan , she has lung cancer" he said getting out.

My jawed dropped.

That was so unexpected.

I got out and followed Tyler. We got to room 507 and he opened the door and I walked in.

There lied Megan, looking at me with tears down her cheeks.

"Did the doctor tell you yet" Tyler asked

She nodded.

Tyler walked out leaving it just me and Megan.

I walked over to her and pulled up a chair so I was sitting next to the bed.

"Ryan" Megan paused "I'm gonna die"

"Don't say that" I said

"It's stage three, I mean yes I have a chance for living but, the doctor told me it was really late to do a lot of the treatments they could have done"

"Megan it's okay your gonna fight through this" I held her hand.

"Ryan" she said

"Yes"

"Remember the promises we made in Paris" she asked me like I forget

"Never would I forget"

"You don't have to keep them" she said looking away from me

"But I will" I smiled and she seemed surprised. I got up and left, I had my mom come pick me up at the hospital. There was something I needed to do.

Megan ||

I woke up with dad running into the room.

"Dad"

"Megan" he cried

"I'm gonna miss you" I said

"Don't say that" he said

"But we all know it's true" and with that he didn't say anything.

"I love you" he said

"I love you too" we say there in silence for awhile. Then Abby came in and we talked.

I want mom.

Does she know?

Why isn't she here?

***

Destiny ||

"IM LEAVING" I yelled to the director

"You have to finish" he said

"Shut the fuck up my daughter is dying and your not gonna let me leave" I said

"Well I will let you leave at the end of the day and give you off tomorrow" he said

I laughed. I laughed so hard I had to keep myself from falling on the floor.

"Destiny calm down" Justin said

I straightened myself up so that I looked serious.

I stared at the director for a minute before sticking up my middle finger than walking out backwards.

It'll take a day to fly over to Pittsburgh and get to the hospital.

Oh Megan.

Hold on.

Megan ||

Ryan and dad talked for awhile outside the room cause I don't know why I couldn't know what they were talking about.

I woke up when Ryan walked in. Holding flowers, Oreos, and Starbucks.

I gave him a confused face but with a smile.

"So Megan, I was thinking, and well, in Paris we made our promises, and I told you that I will never break the promises, so" he paused and got down on one knee next to me.

"Megan Dallas will you please help me full fill the promises I made by marrying me?" He asked.

I laughed.

"Your kidding right"

"Megan I love you" he was serious. Oh shit he isn't joking.

"Yes, Ryan I love you too" a tear slipped down my cheek.

He put the ring on my finger and kissed me.

We couldn't get officially married cause we are both under age. But it still counted to us.

Soon mom bursted into the room crying.

"MEGAN! MEGAN! MEGAN!"

"Mom!" I cried back

"Oh dear Megan what did I do"

"Mom you didn't do anything" I said

"I left you alone, I let you get to this state, I wasn't there for you" she said

"Mom , Tyler took care of me while you were away, this just ... happened"

I put up my hand to show mom the ring. She looked from me to Ryan and repeated that.

Ryan left the room.

"What" she said

"Me and Ryan made some promises in Paris and he promised we would always be together and get married and, well my time is soon, so , I told him he didn't have to keep the promise but he did" I smiled

"That's sweet" she smiled.

Other of my family came and visited me, after about 10 at night everyone was gone and it was me laying in the hospital bed with a sleeping Ryan next to me.

I lifted up my hand to look at the ring.

It had many beautiful diamonds on it, that made a heart, and in the heat it said

' even after death '
