Do I go to her house and talk to her or do I wait till she's calm down some to say something?
-Week later-
Its been a week and Alex hasn't said a word to me. I see her for a few seconds here and there but she won't even look at me. She won't even reply to my texts. I should have went to her house last week to check up on her.
"Sarah!" I look up from the book I wasn't even reading and see Mrs. Woods glaring at me from her desk. Her glasses are in her hand and pointing at me. "Independent reading was over thirty minutes ago and the bell rang two minutes ago. I'm glad you could find an interesting book but I would advise you get to your next class before you are late." I nod my head in understandment and pack my things. I guess I was so focused on Alex I didn't even realized that everyone had left. "Another thing Sarah," I look up to her standing over me her glass on her nose slightly pulled down so I could see her eyes. "You will need to do chapter out lines of five and six." "Thanks" I say as I grab my stuff and head to my last class. Alex is in that class, maybe I could get her to talk to me.I'm late. That wasn't a shock to me. I've been late almost all year to my classes and the year just started. I rush to take a seat as close as I can to Alex. "Nice of you to join us Ms. Waters" Mr. Jones is and will always be an ass. I quickly take out my notebook and a pencil and write what's on the board. It is a little cool in the class so I put my hoodie on over my green and blue softball shirt I got at my last tournament. I look over at Alex. She seems so concentrated on her work. I flip to the back of my note book and rip a sheet of paper and write,
"Please Alex talk to me!
~Sarah"
I purposely break my pencil on the 'h' in my name so I can go sharpen it. As I walk toward the sharpener I pass Alex's desk and drop off my note. I get to the sharpener and look over my shoulder at Alex. She had the note in her hands reading it. Her eyes dart over to me and I quickly move my eyes to my pencil which was now half its original size. I take my pencil out and walk to my desk. I pass Alex desk and she nonchalantly stretches and slips the paper in my hoodie pocket. I get to my desk and sit down. I take a deep breath and take out the note.
"Meet at the hill.
~Alex"
I smile from ear to ear and glance at her to see a grin slip from her lips as she looks away and starts to take her notes again.Twenty minutes has passed and Alex still isn't here. Did she forget about our meet up? I check my phone for the forth time in the last minute. Nothing. I went to put it back in my pocket when I feel it vibrate. I pull it back out and it reads new message. I put in my password and go to my messages to see its not a text from Alex but one from Tyler.
Him- Heyy, umm, are we okay? You haven't spoke to me since Tuesday...
My thumbs circle the keyboard. I haven't spoke to him because I don't want to fall for him. I can't betray my best friend. Especially to the guy that broke her heart.
