My thumbs circle the keyboard. I haven't spoke to him because I don't want to fall for him. I can't betray my best friend. Especially to the guy that broke her heart.

*cough* *cough* I look up to see Alex standing in front of me. How long has she been standing there? Her clothes look different from what she was wearing an hour ago. She is wearing indoor soccer shoes, Adidas shorts, a blue muscle shirt on with a messy pony tail. "Soccer practice?" I ask. She nods her head yes. Why won't she talk to me? "Alex, are you okay?" She looks at the ground. All the life seemed to have been beaten out of her. Her eyes look like they haven't had slept in years. I guess I'm the one to blame for it. I'm the one who brought up Tyler. I reach over and my hand connects with the bottom of her chin. I slow and softly make her look at me. Once our eyes met, her eyes gloss over. "Alex, what's wrong? Why won't you talk to me?" I watch as her eyes spark with rage and turn to anger. "Me?! Not talk to you?! I know what you did Tuesday and who you were with! When were you going to tell me?!" Her eyes are full of hate and pain. I look at the ground. I knew I should have told her. "I-I didn't know how to tell you, he looks so different now, I didn't remember who he was until y-you told me last week when you called him Ty..." I look up and I see tears streaming down her checks but her eyes are like daggers toward me. I feel like absolute shit. "I haven't talked to him since Tuesday. I never want to hurt you Alex." I plea. "But you did..." She mumbles out. "I know Alex, I hate that I did, but I don't feel anything toward him" It's a lie but I can't have feeling for a guy that broke my best friends heart. "O-okay" her eyes look calm but the tears wouldn't stop. I pull her into a hug. "I'm sorry" I whisper into her ear. I feel Alex hug me tighter letting me know she heard me. I glad she forgives me, because if she didnt, I dont know what I would do. She let's go of me and checks her phone. Her eyes grow. "Shit" I hear her mumble under her breath. She looks up at me. "I got to go or I'm going to be late!" She gives me one quick hug and races to her car and leaves. I look back at the church. I really don't feel like going today. I get in my car and head to the cage.

I always keep my softball gear in my Jeep. One of the reasons I drive with my windows down. The stuff kind of stinks after a while. I quickly change and head over to the batting cage. Not a lot of people are here on week days so it surprises me to see them all taken. I sit on the bench and watch them all hit. My eyes travel down the line of sweaty athletes. I stop to see a well toned guy hit. His stance is perfect but he needs to keep his right arm down if he wants any power to his swing. I walk over to his cage and hang on the fence. "Hey!" I yell. He jumps and drops his bat and looks over a me. I try hard not to laugh but some slip. He pushes the pause button and walks over to me. He's wear black gym shorts and a green shirt with cut off sleeves that he obviously did himself. I can clearly see both of his arms which are well toned. He places both arms high on the cage leaving his hairy armpits showing. I back of the cage and grab my nose. "Damn, how long you been in there?!" He smiles. His teeth are perfectly straight and pearly white. "Didn't know a girl with a face like yours could use that language." My face gets hot. He's eye are light brown. I can't see his hair because of his helmet but I assume its brown too. I take my hand on my nose and walk back to the cage. "Sarah" I say with confidence and a grin. He slide off his helmet showing his wet helmet hair. I was right, short brown hair. "Fisher, but you can call me tonight." he winks and walks over to his bag, and comes back with his phone. "Mind if I get your number?" His eyes look so kind and inviting. I'm making this a little to easy for him though. "I don't know, I'm going to need to get a better look at you." I spin my finger in a circle. He laughs and turns in a circle slowly. I can see all his deep muscles. As he turns away I hear "You better not be looking at my ass". I wasn't until he said that. It looks like any other baseball players butt. Round and fit. "What ass?" I tease as he finishes his turn. He smiles and walks back over. "Can I get you number now?" He puts his hand though the fence and holds out his phone. I reach like I'm going to grab it but go to tap my chin instead. "Hmmm, I don't know" "Aww come on, what does a guy have to do to get a beautiful girls number?" He smiles from ear to ear. His teeth are white and straight. "I guess I can give you my number" I smile and grab his phone. I make sure to add a winky face next to my name. I smile as I give him his phone back. Our finger tips touch and I feel electricity volt through my arm. He grins and takes his phone. "I'll text you later" he says and winks as he turns around. He grabs his bat and press play. He lines his feet and waves the top of the bat around. *pop* A ball shots out and Fisher strikes the ball sending it upward with a under spin. Again his arm is too high. I turn around and yell over my shoulder "You're not going to get much power with your right arm up that high." I glance over my shoulder and I see him watching me walk away. I wink at him. *pop* A ball goes flying but he's still looking at me."Watch out!" but I was too late. "Shit man!" He holds his lower back as I try to hide my laughter. I grab my stuff and head to my car. I can't wait for him to text me.
