Not so saved by the bell... chap-2

"Guess who?" I hear someone whisper in my ear.

I know that voice. I can feel their hot breath on my neck, it sends chills down my back. "Alex, did you even brush your teeth this morning?" She lets me go, but not without punching my arm first. I smile at her while rubbing my arm. "Ouch, I missed you too" I say grinning. " Whatever, I scared you, and you know it" she said then proceeded to stick her tongue out at me. " You wish" I remark tilting my head to the side. "And if you missed me so much why didn't you call or text me over the summer?!" Alex said looking a little hurt. "I was busy, I'm sorry." "Yeah, okay" Alex shrugs.

*DING* *DING* *DING*

Damm it, already time for class. "We will talk about this later" she says and then heads down the hallway. I open the lock on my locker, grab my schedule and glance at it. I grab my algebra text book and close my locker door and start heading to class.

*DING* *DING* *DING*

Wow, its lunch time already. The day passed by so fast. I feel like I didn't even go to class. My backpack sure does feel like it though. It is filled with pages upon pages of rules and procedures from my past three classes. Not to mention the text book was still in there.

I make my way to my locker and dump out the text book and all the unneeded papers. I check the time on my phone and I have a few minutes before the lunch line dies down. I take the time to clean out my locker's side door. It was filled with way too many pictures of Alex and myself. Which I'm not against but its just time for a change. I know when she sees it she's going to be all butt-hurt about it and say something like "I thought we were best friends?!" In which I would say "sorry" and she will hold it over my head for another month before she forgets about it. I check my phone. Shit, the bells gonna ring soon. I close my locker and rush over to the trash can. I'm about to throw the pictures away when I get shoved and almost fall into it. "Watch it ass h.." I say as I turned around stopping to see gorgeous blue eyes staring back at me and two strong hands gripping my biceps. "I am beyond sorry!" His hair is long on the top and shorter on the sides. His jaw line looks as strong as his hands feel. "It's...okay" I manage to say. I was lost for words. His hands are still on me making my heart race. It felt like we were looking into each others eyes for hours unsure of what to say. Someone spoke but I didn't see his mouth move. "Uhhhh Tyler? You okay there bro?" Tyler, his name was Tyler. He shook his head and let go of me to my disappointment. "Yeah I'm good" he said looking at me. My heart still racing.

*DING* *DING* *DING*

I'm now panicking, "I gotta go" and almost run away.

I hurry into my English class bumping another student. "Sorry" I mutter as i take a seat in the desk near the back left of the room so I could look outside.

What just happened? Why didn't I say anything? Why didn't he say anything? "Grrrrrrrr" I look down at my stomach. Shit, I forgot to eat. I grab a piece of Spirit Mint gum hoping it would hold me over.

"Hello? Earth to Sarah?" I hadn't realized I was looking out the window thinking about Tyler. Damn those blue eyes and strong jaw li-"Sarah!!" I hear lots of laughter. I look forward and see about thirty pairs of eyes on me. "Y-yes?" I stutter out "Glad to have you back with us Ms. Waters, now can you please pick up where Stacy left off?" I looked down at my paper and the words fade together. "Ughhhhhh" I said nervously. "Mr. Coast, could you please assist Ms. Waters?" A hand comes over the page. It looks familiar. I follow the hand to the muscular forearm and bicep to the seam of a gray T-shirt following it to the face. Those eyes, those gorgeous blue eyes. Tyler! How long had he been there?! Why is he smiling at me?! I shake my head and glance at my paper and start reading from where he had pointed. "Rule 3, SLANT. S is for sit up, L is for listening, A is for ask and answer questions, N is note key information and T is for tracking the speaker. Rule 4..."

*DING* *DING* *DING*

I start to pack up and walk out of class when someone taps my shoulder. I turn and see it was Tyler. "Hey" he says. "Hi?" I say so beyond confused. "I'm Tyler" he says smiling at me and sticking out his hand. Damn he has a cute smile. "I'm Sarah" I say awkwardly shaking his hand but he didn't let go. "C-can we talk after school?" He's stuttering? Is he nervous to talk to me? "Uh, sure?" I say. He let's go of my hand. Its all sticky and clammy now. "Meet you in the parking lot" he says turning away. I wipe off my hand on my jeans.
What just happened?

*DING* *DING* *DING*

Great and now I'm late to class.

The final bell rings and I make my way to my locker. I grab all the packets I have gotten and put them in my backpack. I was about to close my locker door when someone else does it for me making a loud smash sound. "Shit! The hell Alex! What did you do that for?!" "I got you that time didn't I!" She starts laughing maniacally. "Whatever" I said walking away. "Wait for me!" She said half jogging to me. "I can't talk right now" I say "I have to go meet someone." "And who would that be?!" she said with sass and stopped walking. "Someone" I say over my shoulder. I can't tell her about Tyler yet. Yeah she's my best friend but I only just met this kid today. Maybe he isn't worth talking about. I will soon find out.

He was standing alone sitting on top of one of the rails. I finally was able to get a good look at him. Worn out ripped light blue jeans and a tight gray Aeropostale shirt. I walk up to him but he was on his phone. Do I leave? Do I speak up?

Thanks for the feed back! I didn't know if anyone would actually want to read this or not. I would love more advice! Was this too long? Do I need less details? What should happen next? Should she leave or stay?
