Request by @sistercharms1234 . I've been wanting to do this for a while so thank you! Sorry if it's not what you wanted.

Percy's POV

Percy was awakened at 2 a.m. by a loud crash outside his cabin followed by a scream of frustration. He tiredly put on his armor, not bothering to change into day clothes and went outside with Riptide in hand. He squinted to see against the sunlight. Apparently the crash was Clarisse and some other dude he didn't really know. Soon, Annabeth came over in her pajamas too and put a hand on his shoulder.

"Your armor's crooked, Seaweed Brain," she said with a yawn while she patted his shoulder. He groaned when he saw that there was no immediate threat. He grumbled something and trudged back to his cabin.

Percy knocked on the Athena Cabin door. It was 3:00 in the afternoon. (A/N Nine in the afternoon) Annabeth opened the door, looking nervous. He raised an eyebrow.

"What's wrong?" He asked. She sighed.

"My dad wants me to visit him," she said while she looked at her shoes as they pawed the floor. He didn't know how to respond.

"Uh...when?" He asked. She nodded.

" Today. He said he would pay for the ticket over there, but I know you aren't exactly a fan of flying, so I didn't take the offer just yet," she said.

"We could— wait, did you say we?" he asked. She nodded.

" I'm not going by myself. Who will stop me from punching him if things get bad?"

"Alright, we could take Blackjack over there so we don't have to fly as high as a plane," he suggested.

"That should work," she said," I'll iris message him, yes I taught him how, and tell him the plan." She walked back inside the cabin.

" Go pack, Percy," she yelled behind her. Great.

Fredrick's POV

Fredrick was excited and nervous to see Annabeth. He hadn't seen her in a few years. There was a knock on the door, which snapped his thoughts apart to make way for reality. He opened the door to see Annabeth and her...friend?

"Hey! Annabeth, whose your friend?" He asked.

"You didn't tell him I was coming?" Her friend asked.

" Slipped my mind," she said and walked in, holding his hand. Fredrick did not like that. Helen came in.

"Oh! You're here! And you brought a friend! Dinner is in the kitchen so have a seat in there," Helen said. Annabeth's friend held out his other hand to Fredrick to shake.

"Hello, um, sir, I'm Percy, we met a few years ago," he said. He pretty much screamed trouble maker.

"Yes, I remember that," Fredrick replied. Annabeth pulled her acquaintance to the kitchen and sat down at the table.

Now that Helen, Bobby, and Mathew were at the table, the food was served and they dug in. As Fredrick ate, he asked them questions.

"So, how are you guys?"

"Good," they both answered. Then Bobby spoke.

"Are you two dating?" He asked.

"Bobby!" Helen yelped. Percy readjusted himself in his chair.

"Asking the real questions are we?" He said with a smirk. That trouble maker smirk. Fredrick, again, didn't like that.

"It's a valid question," he said. Annabeth looked like she wanted to leave the table. She rolled her eyes with her arms crossed, her foot tapping the floor.

"Yes, Dad, we're dating," she said. No. Fredrick couldn't have have his not-so-little girl dating a trouble maker.

"When did, uh, this, happen?" He asked.

"Fredrick," Helen warned. She saw right though him. No doubt Annabeth could too.

"Now, I understand if you don't approve, um, sir, but we love each other," Percy said. Annabeth nodded.

"Yeah, Dad, and you can't do anything. And to answer your question, we started dating on August 18th, Percy's 16th birthday," Annabeth snapped. Percy placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Bring it down a notch, Wise Girl," he said. She let her shoulders relax. A little bit.

Annabeth's POV

Annabeth and Percy packed for one night over. Now, she wished she could just leave. She didn't need her dad's disapproval. He didn't rule over her life. No one did. Percy had the guest room while Annabeth had her old room. Everything was the way she left it. Only the bed was bigger with new sheets and a new bookshelf in the corner. She plopped her bag down and sat on the bed. She didn't like to sleep all alone. In pitch blackness. And in this room. In this house. Ever since...Tartaurus, she couldn't sleep very well. The traumatizing plague that is nightmares wrapped their sickening fingers around her mind at night.
Percy walked into her room, now in his pajamas. He grabbed her hand and sat down next to her. He ran his thumb across her knuckles while brushing hair behind her ear.

"Couldn't sleep?" He asked.

"It's early," she said.

"It's midnight," he said. Oh. Annabeth didn't know how late it was. Wasn't that late.

"You should go to sleep," he said. She nodded. She laid down. She wanted to ask him to stay at least until she fell asleep. But she didn't have too. Warmth and comfort from the nightmares was all that was in her mind when he was next to her. Her dad didn't bother her anymore. At least not until the morning.
In the morning, her dad apologized for acting a little rude in the attitude department. Annabeth apologized too. She overreacted. They said goodbye and left on a good note. As they were on Blackjack, she smiled. Maybe Annabeth could start to bond with her father again. But yet again, they never had. She would give it try.
