Percy's POV

Percy had it all planned out. Annabeth and he had just moved into their new house in New Rome. Annabeth was away at her work, architecture of course, so he had the house full of boxes that varied in sizes. Right before the mover-guys started to fix the truck up to get it moving out, Percy snagged one of them to the side.

"So, is this moving truck clean? Like new?" Percy asked. It was a peculiar question, yes, but necessary.

"Just got it last week, she still sparkles, why?" The guy who had the name tag of 'Tom' said.

"I may or may not need you to leave it here because I have a certain something, called a proposal, for a certain someone and I need it to have my plan work out. Think you can lend it to me?" Percy replied. Tom seemed to ponder it. Then shrugged.

"As long as you pay for it, then it's fine with me," Tom said. Percy grinned at the stout man. He clapped him on the back.

"Thanks Tommy," Percy said and recoiled his hand from his back, which was sweaty from helping with the box-moving.

"It's just Tom, Mr. Jackson," he said. But Percy was sense-blind because of his joy.

"That's what I said, Tommy," he said and walked inside to get some drachmas for the payment. Tommy sighed behind him. This will go perfectly, Percy thought to himself.

----ignore me, I'm just a time lapse----

  Percy Iris Messaged Grover.

"Hey G-Man, I need you to do some emergency friend-mission for me," Percy said to Grover. Grover didn't hide his exasperation and annoyance in his sigh.

"Which mess of yours do I have to clean up now?" Grover asked in a bored voice. Percy mocked a gesture of hurt.

"Wow, we've been through so much, and you still think you need to baby-sit me," Percy replied.

"Oh yeah, I forgot that's Annabeth's job," Grover replied in the same tone of voice. Percy rolled his eyes.

"Anyway...I need your oh so important opinion," he said sarcastically," on what type of string-lights to buy for my master plan," he explained.

"So you need, fairy lights? Is that what they're called?" Grover asked.

"Uh...I guess?" It sounded more like a question than an definite answer. Grover sighed.

"I'll go to the store and look for some, I have a few mortal dollars on me," Grover said.

"Thanks G-Man, you're the best!" Percy said cheerfully.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever," Grover replied and then swiped his hand through the mist. Percy rubbed his hands together. Aright, let's get started. And off he went to set up everything, starting with the dinner he has to prepare.

----I'm the mystical time lapse----

Grover came a few minutes later. After the war, they made a safe and quick passage way from CHB to Camp Jupiter. It was helpful in cases such as this. The door was open, so Grover walked in. He placed the package of lights on the dinning table and then he sat down in one of the chairs. Percy was just finishing up the meal.
When he was done, Percy grabbed the lights.

"Let's get this thing going, I'll probably need your help," Percy said and motioned Grover to the door.

"You're the tall one here, did you forget?" Grover asked.

"I know, but I need moral support. Make sure I don't back out, you know?" Percy said.

"Let's go, you're doing this today, it's now or never," Grover said and pushed Percy out the door.
Percy opened the package to reveal small, circular bulbs on a black electrical wire. He brought out an extension cord from a house plug, to the moving compartment. He plugged them in. The blubs lit up, casting a faint yellow glow over everything. Percy smiled. This is going great. Percy already had a table and two chairs in the moving compartment. He went inside to bring the food out. He placed the silverware and the plates and napkins on the table.

"Uh, Percy, we need to hang the lights, not just leave them circling the perimeter of the area," Grover said.

"We don't have any hooks to drill in, and I bet I'd have to pay Tommy if I drilled holes in the sides. But! There's nothing a little duck tape can't fix!" Percy said.
A few minutes later and the lights are up. Percy went to shower and to change into something nice, something he hasn't been sweating in all day. He wore a white button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, and some black jeans.

"Last thing before you go, G-Man, should I have my shirt tucked in, or out?" Percy asked.

"Tucked in, you need to have a little more class," Grover said. He bid goodbye and good luck and went out the door. Now, just wait until Annabeth comes home.
A few minutes later, the door opened to reveal the lady of the hour, or day.
