"Piper! We're leaving!" Percy yelled up the stairs to his 'little sister' Piper. She wasn't actually his sister but she might as well be.
"Coming!" She yelled back. She came running down the stairs in a purple shirt with a heart on it and shorts. And...something behind her back. Percy raised an eyebrow at the 9 year-old.
"What's that?"
"Nothing" Behind her back was a blue snap back hat. She put it on. It wasn't hers.
"Pipey, give it back" She hated that name.
"Nope!" She cheered and zoomed past him. He chased her around the house. He put his hands on his knees. She went behind the couch. Great. Then came the hat at his head. He tried to dodge it. But failed.
"Man, I'm usually so limber" He heard her giggle.
"I'm not giving you the hat if you don't come out!" She popped her head over edge. Oh no. The puppy dog eyes. He couldn't resist. Her gaze held. No, Percy you need to resist it, he told himself. It didn't work.
"Ugh, fine"
"YAY"
~time skip~
They went out for ice cream with Piper wearing the hat with a smug smile. Percy glared playfully which earned a laugh from her. Percy smiled. That's more like it.
