A/N Hey! The family emergency is over. Everything is okay! Here's a short one shot while you wait for requests. I'm so bad at requests. Anyway, here!

blue
blo͞o/
adjective
1.
of a color intermediate between green and violet, as of the sky or sea on a sunny day.

2.
informal
(of a person or mood) melancholy, sad, or depressed.

Blue didn't always have to mean a downcast on reality. The color didn't have to be associated with feeling bad or melancholy. Or miserable or dejected. Blue was the clear skies on summer days, blue was the deepest oceans and lakes. Blue was his favorite color. And now it was growing on her.
First, the days were blue. The war left scars on the physical and mental plain. Blue days were when the sky was grey and the sun left no hope to shine. Blue days were what brought them closer. He promised her no more blue days. She held him to that promise.
Blue skies were what made Percy and Annabeth happy. The ocean waves and the blue of his shirt. Annabeth found it strange that blue could have such a big and beautiful difference to her. The bad blue days were gone, but she didn't know for how long. Percy promised her no more, but her mind couldn't be held back from remembering the loss. This effected her facial expression. Percy put two fingers under her chin and made her look at him. He must have noticed.
"Hey, no more blue days," he said with a smile. Smiles were contagious.

Blue days weren't there to dull the good days. Together, forever was what Percy and Annabeth were. As long as they were together, there would be no more blue days. Annabeth was glad she held him to it because he fulfilled it.
