Hayley's POV
The end of the day came quick and i walked to my car with my best friend Kat
"well thats a charming development" Kat said as we both sat in my car watching my sister Erica and her firend get in Travis' car
"it's disgusting" i replyed and backed out of the car park and drove home.
Once i got home i parked my car and walked up the front steps and through the big wooden front door and ran up to my room, dumping my bag on the ground and turning on Jimmy Eat World and flopping down onto my back on my bed and stairing at the walls of my room which were plastered with posters of all of my favorite bands until i heard the front door close, i got up from my bed and made my way down stairs to the lounge room where i saw my mum standing looking at the mail she collected from the mail box on her way in.
"hey honey" she said
"hey" i said and she kissed my check
"did you make anyone cry today?" she asked
"well the day isn't over yet" i said with a smirk on my face when suddenly Erica walked in
"hey mummy" she said and kissed her on the cheek
"and where have you been Erica?" i asked her
"no where" she said
"mum ask Erica who drove her home" i said with a smile knowing she will get in trouble
"ok who drove you home Erica?" mum asked
"ok dont get upset mum but there is this boy..." she said before i cut her off
"who is a total jerk off" i said letting her continue
"and i think he might ask me..." Erica tried to say before mum cut her off
"i think i know what your going to say and i think i know the answer and its going to be no, always no. what is the one rule in this house? 1. no dating boys until you graduate. I tell you whats unfair this morning i delivered a set of twins to a 15 year old girl and do you know what she said to me?" mum said
"im a crack whore who should of made my boyfirend wear a condom?" Erica said
"close, but no she said i should of listened to my parents" mum said
"she did not" Erica said knowing our mum was lying
"well thats what she would of said if she wasn't so doped up on a heap of drugs" mum said
"can we focus on me for a moment, i am the only girl in school that is not dating a guy" Erica said
"oh no your not sweeting your sister here isn't dating" mum said
"and i dont intend to either" i said cutting in
"and why is that again?" mum asked me
" have you seen the idoits that go to our school" i said
"where did you come from? planet loser?" Erica said to me
"what as opposed to 'look at me, im hot'" i said to her
"ok then girls this is how we are going to solve this one, Erica can date... when Hayley dose" mum said walking away from us slowly but Erica jumped up from the lounge and followed after mum
"but she is mutant, what if she never dates?" Erica said yelling at our mum
"then you will never date... which is nice cause then i would be able to sleep at night not worrying that my daughters are out getting pregnant.... look sweetie i just dont want you to ruin your life at a young age, i see it everyday at work." Mum said before her phone went off telling her to go back to work as she was a midwife at the local hospital.
"Wait mum.." Erica said running after mum before she walked out the front door again
"Erica i have to go" mum said and i started to walk up the stairs again to my room
"ugh Hayley why can't you be normal, cant you just take some ugly blind retart to take to the movies so i can have a date?" Erica shouted to me
"nope looks like you miss out" i said with a smile
"you suck" Erica said and stormed off to the kitchen.
