Lissa's POV:

I wake up and I'm still in the alleyway. I begin to wonder if I really did see Matt and Padge. Then I catch sight of the dead drug addicts and I know what happened was real. I touch my forehead gently and I feel something from where I was knifed there but my hand doesn't come away bloody. I lift up my t-shirt to check my stomach. If there was bleeding it's stopped and there's no scar, just faint pink marks.

I get up from the ground and start walking home. I don't know the time but I know it's getting late. I make my way home and when I pass the bakery I notice something strange. The door is on it's hinges and swinging back and forth in the breeze and the windows and smashed. I know I shouldn't go in there (because what fool goes into an abandoned, wrecked chip shop in the middle of the night?) but curiosity gets the better of me and I step inside.

I flick on the light switch and gasp at the horrific sight in front of me. There are human bodies scattered everywhere and they're all mutilated. I open my mouth to scream but before I can, some great force pushes me against the wall and clamps a hand on my mouth. It's none other than Moose. In the background I make out a dark-haired person and I presume it's Jay.

"What are you doing in here?"

"I-I was passing by and I noticed the door and window were broken," I reply.

"Bit late for you to be out," Jay joins us.

"That's none of your business....Matt and Padge were talking about you," I mutter, wondering if they'll let me go.

Moose and Jay are quiet for a second. "There was something weird going on with him and Padge. They said that if I came across you two then they wouldn't need to explain what's going on," I continued.

"Thank God I managed to get you back to normal," Moose mutters to Jay.

"What?" I overhear.

"Nothing. Listen, this is just a misunderstanding. You're going to go home and forget this ever happened. OK?" Jay explains to me.

"You can hardly expect me to -"

"Promise?" Jay says seriously.

"Fine," I agree. Moose lets me go completely and the two of them watch me like a hawk as I leave the shop. I always dreamt of the day I met my idols but this isn't how I expected it to go.

**********

The next morning the murders are all over the news. Not just the bakery murders, but the murders in the alleyway. I shout to my foster parents, who came home a few hours after my adventure last night, that I'm going out and I head to the forest. That's where I go to think things through.

I find my special oak tree and I climb up it, only to find someone sitting in my usual spot.

"Morning," Matt Tuck smiles at me.

"Morning," I reply and sit on another branch.

"You ok?"

"I saw Moose and Jay last night. At the old bakery," I say quickly.

"What did you see?" Matt frowns.

"They looked normal. But there were loads of dead bodies...who killed all of those people?" I ask. Suddenly there are tears in my eyes. Just thinking of the dead people. Maybe they had families, friends. Kids maybe.

"Hey, it's ok. Moose or Jay didn't kill them, if that's what you're asking," Matt says gently.

"Sorry," I wipe my eyes pathetically.

"It's fine. I'm used to tears," Matt glances at his watch. "I need to go," and he drops down from the tree and vanishes into the woods.

"But what's going on!?" I call but he's long gone before I finish my question.

That chapter was intentionally short. It was more of a filler to be honest.
