Moose's pov:

Lissa gives a sudden scream, which makes me and Jay jump.

"What happened?" Jay jumps up and runs towards her. "Did you-" and he goes silent. As the suspense is killing me, I join them and my mouth drops open. Its the top half of the dead body, and its grotesque.

Lissa looks traumatised and I put my arm around her shoulders. "Don't look at it," I tell her.

"We need to bring it back," Jay says.

"Are you mental!?" I exclaim. "There's no way we're carrying that back!"

"Amy needs it, and it might help us take down the monster," Jay replies. "I'll carry it, if you want,"

"How exactly do you plan to get it back?" Lissa murmurs. "For starters, we don't even know where we are," Lissa suddenly winced and looked pained.

"What's happening?" I ask her.

"I feel...weird...like, like someone's in pain but I'm feeling it too,"

"Nadine!" I grab her shoulders and look her in the eye. "Its Nadine! It must be the connection!"

"Come on then!" Lissa starts running, clutching her left wrist as if its gushing blood. Jay picks up the top half of the dead body, looking disgusted, and we chase after her. She dodges tree branches and leaps over ditches, making it hard for us to follow her. Suddenly, we're outside of the Circle.

"Well we're definitely home," Jay breathes a sigh of relief.

"Liss!" I hear the front door open and footsteps crunching in the snow. Its Nadine and I spot a look of relief on Jay's face. "How'd you get home?" Nad asks Lissa.

"I felt you in pain and I followed it," Lissa replies. "What happened to you!?"

Nadine laughs sheepishly. "I tripped while carrying a knife. Cut open my wrists, but Amy got me sorted out,"

"Where were you anyway, before we got seperated?" Jay frowns. Nadine lets out a scream when she sees the dead body slung over his shoulder.

"Calm down, woman!"

"What in hell is that!?" Nadine yelps.

"Its the other half of the dead body," Jay explains.

"What's going on out here?" Amy appears in the doorway, joined by Matt.

"Moose! Jay!" Matt grins. "I thought we lost you!"

"Where did you go!?" I ask. "How did we all get seperated?"

"That's what we need to talk about," Amy says grimly. Then she spots the body on Jay's shoulder. "You found it!" her eyes sparkle.

Lissa shivers and I automatically take off my jacket and drape it around my shoulders, but I'm not sure why. Amy arches an eyebrow and then smiles at Lissa.

"Come on," she says. "Come inside, it's freezing out here,"

The five of us scramble to get inside and Padge starts making cups of tea, whilst Jay and Amy get the body downstairs. James looks extrememly serious and a little worried. Matt is messing around with his long hair and the marks on his cheek are starting to look infected - and its not a pretty sight.

"When Amy and Jay come back upstairs," James breaks the silence. "We'll begin,"

"Begin what?" Lissa asks. She's still got my jacket on and it looks...lovely on her.

"We need to talk," is all James says.

There's another moment of silence, and then Jay and Amy joins us and they settle down. Amy, I notice, scooches very close to Matt, and Matt looks a little disgruntled about that.
