Chapter 10
New Earth
Gotham City (Tim Burton (1989)/Christopher Reeve and Brandon Routh (1978) Mixed Earth)
Superman (1978) and Batman (1989) traveled to Gotham City (Tim Burton Universe). The two had decided to team up to take Brainiac down. Batman (1989) brought Superman to Gotham City in his Batmobile. Inside the Batmobile were dozens of lights and buttons across the roof. Superman (1978) found it interesting. Superman (1978) had never been to his version of Gotham City, he had only heard of it. Lois Lane (1978), his lover had though. She said it was clean, cleaner than Metropolis.
When Superman (1978) had arrived to the streets of Gotham City, he was surprised. This Gotham City was nothing like the one Lois told him about. There was dirt splattered across the buildings, robberies in process, and people beating one another.
"Are you not going to stop this chaos?" Superman (1978) asked Batman (1989).
"They've been like this since our worlds merged. Everyone went mad. I tried stopping some of them but more civilians just kept turning mad. And then I heard on the news that Metropolis was different, it was clean. I had to check it out. Then I met you." Batman (1989) said. They were two minutes from the Batcave.
"Brainiac has a greater plan. He told us to enjoy our last moments with our loved ones. Something is going to happen and we aren't going to survive. We need to stop Brainiac." Superman (1978) stated.
Superman (1978) and Batman (1989) had arrived at the Batcave (1989).
"What is this place?" Superman (1978) asked.
"It's the Batcave. It's where I operate." Batman (1989) stated.
Superman (1978) looked around. There were bats flying around in the black air. There were also spikes hanging from the ceiling. There were five metal platforms in the cave. One was a parking spot for the Batmobile. Another had dozens of old computer monitors on it. Another two were landing areas for Batplanes. And the last one was a place for dozens Batsuits.
Superman (1978) flew up to the Batsuits. They were all black with a black cape and a yellow Bat emblem in the middle of the chest. The Batsuits were identical to the one Batman (1989) was wearing.
"Do you work alone down here?" Superman (1978) asked.
"I used to have a family that worked with me. Then they all died or left. They couldn't handle the lifestyle." Batman (1989) replied. He decided to change the subject. "I have satellites in the air that were able to scan Brainia-," He couldn't finish.
An earthquake was occurring. The Batmobile tipped over on it's side. The Batplanes fell into the river beneath the platforms. Rocky spikes fell from the sky and crashed into the river or onto the platforms. Suddenly the earthquake stopped.
Batman (1989) pulled up the news. There were two Gotham Cities appearing on the news screen. The new Gotham City (Dark Knight Universe) was dirtier than Batman's (1989). On another news screen, it showed Coast City. This Coast City looked identical to the one Batman (1989) knew until a green light started flying above the city buildings.
"What is that?" Superman (1978) said.
Batman (1989) realized it was a person. "No who is that?"
