A Second Try

Defense Earth 5

Harrison Wells brought Batman, the Flash, Flash (Flarrow), Green Arrow (Flarrow), Jay Garrick, Alan Scott, Arkham Knight, Superman (Smallville), Injustice Batman, Batman (1989), Superman (1978), James Gordon (Dark Knight), Nightwing (Dark Knight), and Green Lantern (Ryan Reynolds) to Earth 46 aka Defense Earth 5. Before they arrived Harrison Wells had a secret word with Batman.

"I need you to infiltrate Brainiac's Skull Ship." Harrison Wells stated.

"Why me?" Batman questioned. "Why can't you send someone like Jay, or Alan, or Superman from Earth 31?"

"Because you're the most experienced one here, dammit. I've studied many worlds, no one is as experienced or as smart as you, not even me. I can't send anyone with you because they'll only slow you down." Harrison Wells said. Batman knew it was true.

"I'll do it. How do I get inside the ship?" Batman asked.

"I'm going to bring an Atom suit, it'll be a building that I'll have our 'friends' set up. You're going to use the suit to travel into Brainiac's ray that he'll shoot at us. You'll be so small that you won't be harmed by the ray. When Brainiac retracts ray back into his Skull Ship, you'll be on it. Infiltrate it, and take Brainiac down."

"Doesn't that mean that Brainiac has to break through the shield for your plan to work?" Batman questioned.

"Yes, I calculated the power of Brainiac's ray. Our shields can defend the Earth from it for only so long but Brainiac's ray is still going to break though." Harrison Wells stated.

"Then why the hell are we here defending?" Batman asked.

"To get you on the ship! You are the most important being right now, maybe the most important being to ever live. You cannot fail." Harrison Wells said.

"I won't." Batman realized it was too much for him he would need help.

"Don't mention this to anyone. It won't be good, this needs to be kept a secret." Harrison Wells said.

"It will be." Batman replied.

When Harrison Wells brought Batman, the Flash, Flash (Flarrow), Green Arrow (Flarrow), Jay Garrick, Alan Scott, Arkham Knight, Superman (Smallville), Injustice Batman, Batman (1989), Superman (1978), James Gordon (Dark Knight), Nightwing (Dark Knight), and Green Lantern (Ryan Reynolds) to Defense Earth 5, they set up shields around the Earth again. This time, they made sure that the shield generators were all powered up before they left. The three Flashes set up shield generators on three sides of the Earth. The shields powered up before Brainiac's Skull Ship got there. The Green Lanterns had set up another outer shield too.

Batman talked to Flash before Brainiac arrived.

"When Brainiac arrives, put on an Atom suit. We're infiltrating his Skull Ship." Batman said to Flash. He ignored the fact that Flash was going to slow him down. He needed someone he could trust and who was powerful with him. "I can't explain any of the science just put on the suit and wait for Brainiac to arrive."

"Wait, hold on, this is going too fast, even for me." The Flash said, "What do you mean we're infiltrating Brainiac's Skull Ship?!"

"When Brainiac arrives, he's going to shoot his ray at the planet like he's doing to all the other Defense Earths. We are going to shrink down, so the ray doesn't effect us. When the ray hits the Earth, Brainiac is going to retract it after the Earth gets destroyed. We are going to ride the ray back on his Skull Ship and beat him." Batman said.

"The ray has to hit the shield in order for this to work. What are we doing here!?" The Flash asked.

"We're here so we could get on the Skull Ship! Barry I can't explain everything you just need to trust me!" Batman said, "Wells is sending me on the Skull Ship, he doesn't want anyone else because he's afraid they can't do it. I know you can help me, a lot. I need to know that you'll help."

"Fine Bruce but this better work." The Flash said.

When Brainiac's Skull Ship arrived, Harrison Wells, Batman, the Flash, Flash (Flarrow), Green Arrow (Flarrow), Jay Garrick, Alan Scott, Arkham Knight, Superman (Smallville), Injustice Batman, Batman (1989), Superman (1978), James Gordon (Dark Knight), Nightwing (Dark Knight), and Green Lantern (Ryan Reynolds) were ready.

Brainiac released thousands of Brainiac clones to attack the Green Lanterns' outer shield. The Brainiac clones destroyed the Green Lanterns' outer shield very quickly. Batman and Flash put on the Atom suit and shrunk down. Brainiac fired his ray as they put on the Atom suits. Harrison Wells was in front of a computer looking at the shields' power.

"The shields aren't holding, we need to leave." Harrison Wells said.

The Arkham Knight grabbed Harrison Wells by the neck. "What do you mean they aren't holding?!"

"We can argue later. We need to get off this Earth." Harrison Wells choked.

"TELL ME! WHAT'S ACTUALLY GOING ON? You seemed so confident that the shields were going to hold earlier." The Arkham Knight shouted.

"We can't do this right now. If the shields can't last we need to leave." Superman (Smallville) said. "Argue later, not now, we need to figure out a plan. We don't need to waste time."

"Agreed." Alan Scott said. He created a portal back to the Watchtower on Earth 1.

The Arkham Knight let go of Harrison Wells. He followed Green Arrow (Flarrow) and the Flash (Flarrow) through the portal. Everyone else but James Gordon (Dark Knight) followed. The shields were cracking.

"Wait where are Batman and Flash?!" James Gordon (Dark Knight) asked. He ran to look for them.

"Jim no! We have to go!" Nightwing (Dark Knight) shouted for his friend. The shields were cracking more as James Gordon (Dark Knight) kept looking. "Jim! Come back!"

"I can't leave anyone behind. It's not right." James Gordon (Dark Knight) said.

As the shields broke, James Gordon (Dark Knight) ran back to the portal. He tripped and fell but got back up. He realized he wasn't going to make it. Nightwing (Dark Knight) tried to run for him back The Flash (Flarrow), Injustice Batman, and Green Arrow (Flarrow) held him back. James Gordon put his hand up to tell Nightwing to stop.

"Nooooooo!" Nightwing (Dark Knight) cried.

The Flash (Flarrow), Injustice Batman, and Green Arrow (Flarrow) brought Nightwing (Dark Knight) through the portal as he saw the planet get disintegrated along with his friend.
