Fast Enough

The Space and Time Barrier

The Flash started to break the Space and Time Barrier. He has never gone this fast. It felt great but at the same time it was the worst pain he ever felt. Once the Flash finally broke the Space and Time Barrier, he fell himself perishing throughout time.

The Flash's suit was getting lost in time. Pieces of his body were disintegrating. He had to keep running though. "Run, Barry, run" is what he kept telling himself. He was able to keep running. The Flash was losing his footsteps but he regained them.

As the Flash was running he saw events in the past such as the famous events such as George Washington's First Inauguration, Abraham Lincoln getting shot, Jonah Hex fighting off slave owners, and he even saw the lightning that struck him when he became the Flash. He then realized, because he was traveling this fast, sparks throughout time were being created. He created the bolt of lightning that gave him the powers to be the Flash.

The Flash also saw things in the present. He saw the different worlds in the Multiverse. He saw a world where Wonder Woman was the only hero (Lynda Carter), he saw a world where the genders of the Justice League were swapped (Earth 11), and world where only one boy survived on Earth (Earth 51). He then saw a red arm hang out right in front of him. He pulled down the arm and an unconscious man but alive flew back. The Flash saw that was wearing a Flash suit and had red hair.

"Wally?" The Flash said. He had to keep running.

The Flash even saw the future one of the bolts on the side of his mask flew off. He saw a world where a new Batman dawned the cowl. A Batman who wore a black Batsuit with a red Bat Symbol. He also saw an old Bruce and Superman watching him. The Flash even saw a new Justice League. One being lead by Superman. This League had a man dress in metal armor shaped like a hawk, a woman who had powers similar to Mera, Aquaman's wife, a new Atom, Mr Miracle, Big Barda, and even a new female Flash.

The Flash was shocked at the future he saw but he knew there was a future. He knew there would be something after this event if he defeated Brainiac. The Flash sped up and eventually caught up to Brainiac, however more and more pieces of him were breaking apart. He had to keep running.

Brainiac was running like now the Flash would. His arms moving up and down next to his torso, his ankles flying back, Brainiac looked like he could be the Flash. The Flash eventually started running side by side with Brainiac. Brainiac looked to his side and was shocked to see the Flash.

"What are you doing here? You shouldn't have been able to catch me! This is my destiny! I have the power to control the Multiverse! It is my right to do it!" Brainiac yelled.

"No, it's not your right." The Flash said.

The Flash took a few jabs at Brainiac's torso. His body was still perishing though. Brainiac took a few shots too. However, these strikes did not effect Barry. Barry threw a punch at Brainiac's face to make him stumble.

"It is not your right. You don't get to have that kind of power. If you think this power will make you a God, you are wrong. It's not what power we have, it's not how much of that power we have, it's what we do with that power that shapes us. It's what we do with that power that makes us bigger than Gods, bigger than our opponent. And saving everyone who ever has lived, who ever will live is what will make me stronger than you." The Flash stated as he was turning invisible. The Speed Force couldn't protect him.

"Noooooo!" Brainiac shouted.

Brainiac tried punching Flash but his punches just travelled straight through his body. They were approaching the creation of time. They saw God creating time. Brainiac was so close.

"No Brainiac. I was fast enough to catch up to you and I'm fast enough to stop you."

The Flash said as he vibrated his hand. His hand was becoming solid. The Flash jammed his hand through Brainiac's chest and the two stopped running. Sparks flew out of Brainiac's chest and through the Flash. Brainiac fell in the Flash's arms.

"You- you truly are The Fastest Man Alive." Brainiac said as he laid in the Flash's arms.

"Yes, I am." Barry replied. The area around them was being destroyed. Barry had did it but had to pay the price. "Goodbye Brainiac."

Brainiac's eyes shut. Barry became weak. He shut his eyes and fell on his side knowing he saved everyone. Now all he had to do was rest.
