"How is she?" Erin asked Adam, though Erin was beginning to worry about him it was obvious he was barely holding it together, "I hope she's better than you"'she laughed.Adam smiled, "She is, she's amazing. She's doing great, me on the other hand. I'm scared shitless" he chuckled, "Listen, I need to make a few calls, can you go sit with her?"
Erin did a fist pump, "I'd thought you'd never ask, take your time" she smiled, "you're doing what I think you are, right?"
Adam grinned, "You know it"
Jay smiled, "I have what you need" he patted his pocket, "though, this isn't exactly how I thought it would go down"
Adam laughed, "you and me both Jay, but I think my kid has his own idea of how it should go down"
Erin slowly pushed the door open, "Hey girlie!" She smiled.
"Thank goodness you're here!" Kim smiled, "I need to vent"
Erin arched her eyebrow, "okay?" She took Adam's vacant chair, "is it about Adam? I know he's a wreck but he'll pull it togethe once the baby is here"
"It's really silly" Kim admitted, "but it still bothers me"
"What?"
Kim bit her lip, "You're going to laugh at me"
Erin acted as if she was insult, "I wouldn't dare do such a thing. Seriously, what is it?"
"I thought we would be married, before we had the baby. I wanted to be married before we had him" she confessed, though he was a little early she didn't think it made that much of a difference.
Erin couldn't help the grin the filled her face, "its not silly" was all she could muster.
Relief washed over her when Trudy joined them in the room, "Finally! My baby is coming" she was obviously excited, "where is Special sauce?"
Kim grinned, "Not sure, I'm kind of surprised he's not here yet"
"Well, we don't need him. I'm so ready for this little guy" Trudy smiled, "has he got a name yet?"
Kim groaned, "Nope and the rate Adam and I are going he may never have one" each time either one of them suggested a name the other found a reason to not use it
"Everything good?" Jay asked.
"Yep, the police chaplain is on his way. I owe Voight, I don't know how many chits he used up but it's done" Adam told him, "I gotta change" he told Jay sure Kim would be in a hospital gown, but he wanted to dress up for her. It was rare he ever wore anything other than jeans, and t shirt, "you brought my tux, right?"
"It's in the truck" Jay left to retrieve it.
"Where the hell is Adam?" Kim was growing impatient, the doctor had just left and anticipated the baby's arrival to happen very soon.
"I'm sure he's coming" Erin covered for him, she went and peeked out into the hallway and spotted Adam and Jay approaching the chaplain with them. "Yep,here they come now" she could barely contain her excitement.
"I'm gonna kill him" she was beginning to feel the contractions again the doctor having adjusted the medicine so she would be able to deliver the baby.
"You might want to hold off on that" Erin smiled, Jay arriving in the room first, she immediately went to his side, clutching his arm.
Kim was shocked when Adam appeared before her, "Hey Baby" he smiled a single red rose in his hand.
