--Note--
This story ended with Chapter 20, while writing this I was so torn on who was going to be the father of 'Kim's' baby that I ended up writing each outcome and ultimately decided to go with 'Adam' being the father.
Problem was the chapter where 'Jeremiah' was the father I felt was one of the best I've ever written, so I decided when I finished the story I would post that version.
Doing that has made me want to expand on it and how it will affect 'Kim and Adam' so, I'm going to put a few chapters together and see how it plays out.

They had decided to keep the results of the test to themselves for a little bit, not quite ready to let the world in to witness their sorrow.
Adam could feel Kim's eyes watching his every move, he could tell she was frightened, try as he might he couldn't convince her that he was okay. Though, he wasn't entirely sure he was okay.
"Do you want something to eat?" She asked him, "I could make an early dinner, then maybe we could watch a movie or something" she kept twisting her engagement ring, "maybe some Netflix and chill" a nervous laugh escaping her lips.
Her advances falling on deaf ears, "Adam, did you hear me?"
He rubbed his temple, "I'm sorry, did you say something?" He asked.
"Never mind, it's not a big deal" she tried to mask the pain she was feeling, she knew it was nothing compared to what he was dealing with.
"Do you mind if I head out for a little bit?" He asked her, he had all this pent up rage that he needed to release, he couldn't stand it any longer.
"It's fine" she folded her arms across her chest, it was if she could feel him drifting away. She wanted to cling to him, to keep him close but she knew he needed his space she just wished he wouldn't drift so far away that they'd never find their way back to each other.
He grabbed his coat, "Won't be too long" he placed a chaste kiss on her lips and was out the door without another word.
"Ruzek! What's up man!" Jay said from the boxing ring, he rested his weight on the ropes, "perfect timing I need someone to spar with. Go get changed and get you're ass in this ring"
It was an offer Adam couldn't refuse, "Yea, sounds good" he took off for the locker room and quickly changed, Antonio taped up his hands for him.
"Do me favor kick his ass" Antonio laughed, "he's been a pain in the ass all day, knock him out for me" he laughed. Never did he think owning a gym with Halstead and Roman would drive him crazy, his two partners knew little about boxing but they sure as hell liked to run their mouths as if the did.
"My pleasure" Adam managed a smile. He quickly jumped in, he and Jay tapped their gloves and began dancing around the ring each dodging a few punches.
It didn't take long for the first punch to connect with Adam's jaw, the headgear he was wearing didn't help to absorb the blow as much as Antonio had told him it would.
He quickly shook his head, and regained his form.
"You good?" Jay asked his words mumbled as he spoke with the mouthpiece still in his mouth.
Adam nodded, "let's go" he demanded, he quickly moved in and landed three quick blows to Jay's head.
Antonio watched with nervousness as Adam had Jay pinned in the corner, and continued to assault him with punches, most landing on Jay's well protected stomach.
