"If you walk out that door...do never come back!", you yelled at his back and he stopped for a second and you thought it would be like in disney movies where he runs back at you. But he didn't.

"I'm sorry.", he answered and left. He left before you could tell him that you were pregnant and you were sure that you would never see him again.

You're holding him for the first time. His tiny hands are  wrapped around your index finger and his eyes are closed.

"Hey baby boy." He made some noises and you thought he was going to cry so you tried to calm him.

"It's okay baby. Mom got you."

"John! Are you ready?! We got to go to the kindergarden. I'm gonna be late for work.", you yelled so he could hear you from the kitchen where he was having breakfast.

"Let's go Mommy. I'm sorry that you are late because of me.", he apologized looking up to you with his big green eyes, holding his tiny backpack.

"Oh, it's okay baby. I'm not late because of you. I'm late because I was very tired today."

"That means you should go to bed earlier right? That's what you told me.", he said and grabbed your hand.

"Yeah you're right.", you laughed and both of you walked to the car.

You were standing outside of the school waiting for your boy to come out. He was one of the last ones and you immidiatly stood up and waved at him with a smile. But your smile turned into a frown when you saw that he was running towards you crying.

He burried his face in your leg and hugged you tight as he reached you. You went down to really hug him. He layed his head against your chest and was sobbing.

"What happened?", you asked after he calmed down a bit so he could talk.

"The teacher said we should write an essay about our father and his job and if we want the same job. I asked if I couldn't do it about my Mom because she is my rolemodel and I don't know my father. The other kids started making fun of me that my rolemodel was a woman. That I wanted to be like a girl."

The words send a knife straight through your heart and you felt the pain spread into your whole body. You hold back the tears which stood in your eyes and rubbed his back.

"But it's not like that Mommy. I don't know my father. You are the greates person I know. Maybe my father was a great person too but I don't know him. Who is he Mommy?", he sobbed into your chest and you hugged him thighter.

"Shh, it's okay baby. I'll tell you everything about your father."

***
You told him a lot of things about his father. Good things. It was your job to make him love his father not hate him. He grew up well. He was twelve now and could defend himself against others. He also grew up pretty handsome and you knew why. You knew how he would look like as a teenager or how he was going to look like in his late twenties.

But the one thing you didn't know was what was after you. You stopped hunting after you gave birth to John. You never met one again. Especially not the one.

You build yourself a normal life in a small house with a little garden, normal neighbors and a normal job. You couldn't know that something was coming because you were not careful enough. You forgot that a hunter is always a hunter. And you should be reminded on a hard way.
