Why me?

What happened?

* Devan's POV *
I'm at home right now since it's school holiday. I'm not going to the hospital until I finished my chores, well that was what my mum said. 1 more day left before she's going to sleep forever. I'm trying my best not to break down. I almost got into depression but what made me not got into it was talking to Elizabeth, that was what the doctor told me to do and it helps.

* Elizabeth's POV *
I can't hear Devan's voice anywhere. I think his busy. I'm really trying my best to wake up right now. Wait, I can feel my fingers moving! I think I can try to open my eyes a little. Why is it so hard? It feels like I'm paralysed. I can see the light! Just a little bit more Elizabeth! I can do this! I can do this!

Ouch! Okay the light literally just sting my eyes. It takes me a few blinks until I get use to the lighting. I think I need to call someone so they know I'm awake.

"Hello? Anyone? Hello?!"

"YOU ARE AWAKE!" A nurse said when she walk in my room. She seems... Excited?

"Doctor Madison! DOCTOR MADISON! Elizabeth is awake!" She called out a doctor. I think that's my doctor.

"Good morning, Elizabeth" she greeted me. She's really friendly. Or is it what they are suppose to do?

"How are you feeling?" She asked while checking me.

"Good, I think? But my head hurts. I feel like puking." After that I threw up in the nearest bucket and it was blood...

"What's happening to me?!" I asked doctor Madison, panicking.

"It's okay, that was the excess blood that was left in your body. You lost a lot of blood so we had some one to donate their blood for you."

"Oh," that was all I could say.

"Where's Devan?" I asked.

"You mean the boy that always came and talk to you almost Everyday?" She asked for confirmation.

"Yes,"

"He has not arrive yet but I'm sure he will come by. Do you want me to call him?"

"It's okay, I want to surprise him but I want to see my mum though,"

"She's right outside, sleeping. I'll go call her right now."

"Thank you."

"No worries"

Within a few minutes, my mum and dad came in.

"Oh my god honey! Are you okay?" My mum asked.

"Yes,"

"Good,"

"Mum, how long have I been asleep?" I was curious.

"3 months."

"Wow." That was all I could say.

After talking to my parents, they said they needed to go home and clean themselves up. They will be back at night. I also told them not to tell Devan that I am awake. I felt really tired so I thought it would be good if I take a nap. I was nearly falling asleep when I felt someone held my hand and started talking. Obviously I knew that it was Devan so thought it would be funny to scare him and see his reaction. With no second thoughts, I yelled his name,

"DEVAN," he had a scared mix with surprise look on his face. He was also speechless which was funny.

Since he was frozen, I decided to hug he and he hugged back!

"I love you too, Devan." I said to him

"What?" He said with a surprise tone to it.

"I heard all your rantings about school including when you said you love me yesterday,"

He was really speechless.

"So I decided to tell you that I love you too," I said with a smile.

"You really left me speechless, Elizabeth."

"Whatever," I laughed. "Anyways what happen to me? I can remember a thing after I think Lucy told me that she has a surprise for me." I asked, feeling lost.

Suddenly Devan had a sad look plastered on his face. I wonder what happened.
