Chapter 17

Aphmau pov:
It has been two days since I found out Garroth was in a coma. I have been at his side 24/7. I barely have time to eat but Donna always makes me breakfast.

I looked at Garroth and he was breathing heavily. I walked over to him and grabbed his hand.
"Garroth please wake up."
There was no answer. I started to cry on Garroths chest.
"Please wake up I need you in my life, I'm sorry, I'm sorry....."
I kept on crying. I got up and ran out of the room. I ran out of the house and went on top of the cliff where the Lady Irene statue was. I looked over the cliff and was about to jump off when someone grabbed my hand and stopped me. I looked behind me to see Travis.
"What are you doing here?"
"I've come to find you, to tell you that I still love you."
"Travis we broke up more than 2 weeks ago."
"I know, but I am still in love with you."
"I'm sorry Travis, but I don't love you."
"But we dated for a year."
"But through out that year, I started to loose the connection between us. Anyways I am in love with someone else."
He looked at me in shock.
"Who?"
"I met a man here, and the first day I met him I fell in love with him. Now we are engaged."
"What! Who is this man? I want to meet him."
"You can't..."
"And why is that?"
"Because.. he's in a .... Coma..."
"I'm so sorry. I-I didn't know."
He came closer and tried to hug me but I pushed him away.
"I need to go."
"B-but I."
Before he could say anything I ran down the hill and into Donna's house. I went into Garroth's room and locked it behind me.
"Aphmau are you ok?"
"Yes I'm fine Donna I just need to be alone."
"Okay."
I heard footsteps and they got softer until they were gone. I sighed and sat down on the chair next to Garroths bed then fell asleep.

I woke up with someone shaking me. I opened my eyes to see Garroth. I hugged him tightly.
"Your awake."
He squirmed out of my arms and breathed.
"I just woke up, but what happened and why does my head hurt?"
"When you were chasing me you fell and cut your head. You went into a.....Coma..."
"I-I did."
"Yes and it's all my fault."
I started to cry. Garroth hugged me.
"Its not your fault. I should have been more careful."
Donna came rushing into the room.
"Your awake, that's amazing but you need to eat and so do you Aphmau."
I smiled and helped Garroth up.

After supper Garroth and I went on a walk. He grabbed my hand and we kept on walking. Then I heard someone calling me name. I looked behind me and saw Travis.
"Who is that?"
"Um it's...."
Travis ran up and gave Garroth a death stare.
"I'm her ex boyfriend and I'm here to tell her I'm still in love with her."
"Wait you have a ex boyfriend!?"
"Yes but I broke up with him because I didn't love him anymore."
"But do you love him now?"
"No I love you."
"Good."
He hugged me.
"So you don't love me anymore."
I let go.
"I'm sorry but no..."
"Fine. I didn't want to do this but...."
He went over to Garroth and pushed him on the ground.
"What are you doing?"
"If your not going to love me then I'm going to kill the one you love."
He took out his sword and went charging at Garroth. I kicked him in the leg and he fell.
"I'm sorry."
I grabbed Garroth's hand and helped him up then we ran. We finally made it back to the house. We opened the door and rushed inside. I shut the door behind us and slid down against the door.
"Why didn't you tell me you had an ex boyfriend?"
"I'm sorry but I wanted to have a clean start."
"What do you mean?"
"When you first met me I was coming from my old village. The reason why I ran was because everyone wanted me to be with Travis but when I broke up with him everybody turned their back on me, so I ran. I didn't have enough supplies but I finally found this village and I met you."
"I'm so sorry, I didn't know."
He came over to me and hugged me.
