Chapter 23

Garroth pov:
Katelyn had a concerned look on her face.
"Are you okay Garroth?"
"Yes I'm fine but we have a bigger problem to deal with."
"Yes but let's not talk about that right now."
"We've got to get going now, we just wanted to stop by and talk for a bit."
"Okay then, bye."
"Bye."
I grabbed Aphmau's hand and we waved goodbye to Laurance and Katelyn. We walked out of the house and made our way home.

We walked up the path to the house holding hands. When we got up to the house I let go of Aphmau's hand and opened the door to the house. When we got inside I plopped myself on the couch. Aphmau sat beside me and snugled into me. I grabbed her hand and held it. She put her head on my shoulder and I smiled. I turned on the tv and put on a horror movie. Aphmau didn't realize that I put on a horror movie so when the movie started, she screamed at the first jumpscare.
Aphmau put her head into my shoulder. I laughed and she clinged onto me.

Aphmau pov:
After the terrifying movie, Garroth left to go get Levin. I stayed home and waited for them. I went upstairs and lied down in bed. I grabbed my midnight book and opened it to where I last stopped reading. I flipped the page when I heard a knock on the door. I put the book down and got out of bed. I walked out of the room and went downstairs. I open the door and I was pushed to the ground. I shook my head and opened my eyes to see Azura. She had a sword in her hand and she pointed the sword at my throat.
"What do you want from me!?"
"I want Garroth!"
"No, I'm not going to let you steel him from me!"
"And what are you going to do about it, I have a sword to your throat."
"Yes but I have my ways..."
She gave me a confused look and I gave her a smirk. I kicked her in the leg and she fell backwords. She dropped the sword and I quickly grabbed it then pointed the sword to her throat. She looked frighten and confused.
"I never thought a pretty little flower like you could do this."
"Well you thought wrong!"
She snapeed her fingers and a sworm of smoke came out of nowhere. I started coughing and waving my arm to try to get the smoke out of my way. When the smoke was finally gone Azura wasn't there. I stomped in frustration then dropped the sword and fell on my knees. I felt something tap my back. I open my eyes and saw Garroth holding Levin in his arms.
"What happened here?"
"Azura happend..."
"What! Did she hurt you!?"
"No but she put a sword to my throat but then I kicked her and she dropped the sword so I put it to her throat but then she vanished into thin air."
"That's what happend with Zenix. He just vanished but that doesn't matter as long as you're  okay."
"Yes I'm fine, let's just put Levin to bed and we can worry about this tomorrow."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes I am."
"Okay."
I kissed Levin goodnight and Garroth brought him upstairs. I sat down on the couch and looked at the sword that I dropped. I got up and picked up the sword. I looked at it, it was a bloody red colour mixed with a lime green. I looked at it more closely when all of a sudden a shock of pain when through my body. I dropped the sword and fell to the ground then everything went black.

Garroth pov:
I put Levin down into his crib and kissed him goodnight. I walked out of the room and slwoly closed the door behind me. I walked down the stairs and saw Aphmau laying on the ground. I quickly ran to her and grabed her wrist. I checked for a pulse and I luckly found a beat. I looked at her other wrist and black glowing vains were slowly going up her arm. I looked beside Aphmau to see a sword. I looked at the sword and it was glowing the exact same kind of earie glow that was coming from the vains on Aphmau's wrist. I picked up Aphmau and put her on the couch. I quickly grabed the amulet from the coffee table and I contacted Donna.
"Donna are you there?"
"Yes, what do you need?"
"I found Aphmau on the ground with weird vains on her wrist, please hurry..."
"I'm coming just wait."
I heard a knock on the door and quickly answered it. Donna ran inside and went to Aphmau.
