Chapter 21

Aphmau pov:
I woke up in the morning in bed. I rolled over and Garroth's back was facing me. I tapped on him several times but he didn't wake up so I yelled.
"FIRE!"
"W-what happened!?"
"I tried to wake you up but you wouldn't so I yelled fire."
"Seriously, you scared me and I think you woke up Levin."
I looked towards Levin's crib and he was standing up looking directly at me.
"Okay... so I did."
"Now your going to take care of him when I go make breakfast, okay."
"Okay that's fine, I get some alone time with my baby boy."
Garroth got out of bed and left the room to go make breakfast. I walked over to Levin and I layed him down on his back and I changed his diaper. After I finished that I put a blue top on Levin. I picked him up and brought him downstairs. I put him in his high chair and he was giggling because I was having trouble with buckling him into the high chair. I finally got him in and I went and sat at my seat. I waited for Garroth to be done and he finally brought out breakfast. He made French toast with bacon. He handed me my plate and I thanked him.
"So when are you going to go see Cadenza?"
"I was thinking after I'm done my shift."
"Oh okay so you won't be home for a while then."
"No, I'm just going to do a quick patrol then come back and be your personal guard then I will go to Cadenza's."
"Okay that sounds fine."
"Anyways after you're done just put the dishes in the sink then I will do the dishes."
"No I will do the dishes and you can go on patrol because the quicker you do that the quicker you get home."
"Okay fine."
After we were done Garroth kissed Levin and I goodbye.

I put Levin's high chair next to the sink so I could watch him while I did the dishes. After what felt like forever I was finally done the dishes. I took Levin out of the high chair and waited for Zoey to pick him up. I heard a knock on the door and Levin ran to the door knowing who it was. I opened the door to see Zoey standing there. Levin ran out and hugged her leg. Zoey picked him up and she smiled at him. She waved goodbye and I waved back. I closed the door and waited for Garroth on the couch. When he got home I jumped into his arms and he spun me around.
"You're finally home."
"I've only been gone for 2 hours."
"I know but I don't like being alone..."
He laughed at me and he threw me over his shoulder.
"Where are you bringing me now?"
"To the place were Zenix shot me so we can have a picnic."
"But what if something bad happens again?"
"Do not worry I will protect you."
"Then who's going to protect you?"
He didn't answer, he just kept on walking. He finally put me down when we got to the forest.
"Are you going to answer my question?"
"I don't care if I'm protected as long as you're okay."
"But Garroth....."
"Let's just have a normal picnic and let's just forget about this conversation okay."
"O-Okay..."
"And I'm sorry for cutting you off."
"It's alright."
We sat on the blanket and I looked down. I didn't want to look at Garroth.

Garroth pov:
I felt bad for cutting Aphmau off. I put my finger under chin and lifted her head up.
"What's wrong?"
"You don't care if you die."
"I do but I'd rather you live."
"But if you die and I'm still
alive..."
She started crying.
"If you die I will have no one to love no one to make me smile, Garroth you need to protect yourself and not just me."
She put her arms around me and started crying on my shoulder. I hugged her and whispered into her ear.
"You will never lose me understand. I will fight until the end to stay with you, okay?"
"Okay."
"Lets just go home and lay
down."
"I would like that very much."
I grabbed her hand and helped her up. We left the forest and went back to the house.
"I'm not going too go see Cadenza today. I'd rather spend the day with you."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
We walked up the path to the house holding hands. I opened the door then Aphmau and I went to our room and layed down.
"Why do you love me?"
"Because your smart, beautiful, nice and you care about everyone around you."
"Oh okay."
"Why do you ask?"
"I was just wondering because you always tell me you love me and that you will do anything for me... I just wanted to know why."
"Oh okay. Anyways what do you want to do for the rest of the
day."
"Sleep, watch a movie or
snuggle."
"Snuggle."
"Okay."
She snuggled into me and she put her head on my chest. I smiled and I put my arm around her.
