I woke up this morning to see the other half of the king sized bed was empty. My eyes scaled the room in search of Zayn, only to find he was no where to be found. I quickly pulled my hair back and wandered out to the living room. The sound of voices, caught my attention. I looked around to see the window letting out to the balcony was open. Sneakily, I tip toed over and peered out to see Zayn pacing back and forth. His voice was purposely at a whisper probably trying not to wake me. I quietly stood there listening as best as I could without getting caught.
"Caleb won't find out, and if he does it will be too late I have the other half of the money." His pacing continued as he patiently listened to whoever was on the other line.
"You know why I can't be there right now"
"She doesn't know and she never will! Give me a few hours, I'll be there at 2." Without another word the phone call was ended and I quickly jogged back to his room.
I tried my best to pretend I just woke when he walked in. My act was rather unconvincing, but thankfully he didn't seem notice.
"Morning love." He softly spoke leaning against the door frame.
My eyes peered at his bare upper half, admiring the hard muscles etched into his abdomen. The tattoos that covered his chest left me wondering, what they meant, as my eyes continued to examine him.
"Like what you see?" He smirked.
My cheeks turned a deep red, shyly peeling my eyes away.
"I have to go. I have work in an hour." I said, trying my best to change the subject.
"Let me take you home."
I quietly shook my head, before gathering my clothes. Lazily I tugged my shorts up my legs, my ankle boots following after. I decided to just wear Zayn's hoodie, too lazy to put my own back on.
Zayn politely opened the door for me, allowing me to go first. I accepted the gesture and made my way to the stairs waiting for him, once I reached the bottom.

"My mum is coming back next week." I informed him while we both stared out the large window.
"What about your dad?"
"He's not really around much anymore. He always has work. Deep down I know he's cheating, but my mother refuses to accept it so they stay together. I love my dad but he's never there."
"Why doesn't your mum leave him?"
"She loves him."
"How can you love someone that treats you like shit." I sensed this topic ran deep for Zayn. He must've had a particular person or incident in mind, because he was clearly upset by me just talking about it. Many questions sprung to mind, but I knew now wasn't the time to ask him.
"He loved her once, I saw it and I guess she's still holding onto those times." I use to get sad talking about how terrible he was to my mum, but now it's just another thing out of my control.
"Why does he stay with her?"
"Because it's easier to pretend everything's ok, then to fix it."
The topic died down as we both fell into a comfortable silence. We stayed this way until, my house was in sight.
Zayn walked me up to the porch, waisting no time in pinning me against the door. An action he had done once before, now seeming much less threatening then the previous encounter.
"I'll pick you up after work."
"I can walk."
He gave a warning look, telling me I shouldn't argue. I let out a sigh but agreed, despite the irritation it caused. Zayn bent down hovering his lips over mine. When he realized I wouldn't pull my face away unlike the first time he attempted this aggressive act, he closed the space between us. Our lips worked together, as he ran his tongue over my bottom lip pleading for entrance. I denied him the access and pulled away, leaving him with a smirk.
