**ZAYNS POV**

When I emerged from the bathroom Juliet was already lying in bed occupying herself with an old toy. Her curls were gracefully pulled over one shoulder, slightly covering that side of her face. I had the strongest urge to brush away the unruly hair and kiss down the soft skin of her neck. But instead I slowly made my way to the bed, intrigued by the small item in her possession.

"What is that?" I asked referring to the odd shaped doll she was holding.

"It's a Russian doll. My father brought it back from one of his many trips." She continued to un-piece and piece back together the old wooden toy.

I watched quietly, ignoring the heavy rain outside. It must've began to poor whilst I was in the shower. Her fingers curiously traced over the painted patterns stopping briefly when thunder sounded.

"You don't like storms?" I asked pulling her body to mine.

"They frighten me. My sister doesn't...didn't like them either." Sadness filled her voice.

"What happened?" I gently whispered setting the toy aside leaving gentle kisses to her Shoulder. We both lay on the bed, me holding her tight under the duvet.

"She was older than me. Already 17 when I was nearly ten. She was driving home from the airport. There were flood warnings and alerts, but she had already began her drive when they announced it. A trucker lost control and rammed the drivers side. Her car was in oblivion. Doctors say she died on impact, but I still fear that she felt some sort of pain. Her name was Grace"

Tears collected in her eyes as she told me the hurtful memory.

"It's all right now love." I gently whispered wiping away any stray tears.

"Will you be here when I wake up?" She softly asked, slipping into a sleep.

"Of course baby."

Juliet had fallen asleep peacefully resting on my chest. I myself couldn't fall asleep. The story about her sister had me thinking of my own family. About how broken we'd become. Flashbacks disguised as dreams would sneakily flood my mind at night, constantly reminding me of the day I left. It was hard, but they didn't love me. I was angry and violent. Juliet has been the only one to successfully calm me down, and even she struggled to contain my anger. If I pushed her away too, I would have no one.

"What's on your mind?" The gentle coo of Juliet's voice tugged me out of my thoughts.

"You." I simply answered.

"Well I know that's not true."

"Why do you say that."

"Because no one would waist there time thinking about me. I'm not that important."

"Your important to me."

Even in the dark I could tell she was blushing at my words. A quality I found so cute. Taking me by surprise I felt her gentile lips against my own. Before she could pull away I tugged her on top of my body, wrapping my arms around her small waist.

Her lips playfully peppered kisses across my face. I laughed as she ended her parade of kisses by pecking the end of my nose. It was a touch I wasn't use to. Usually my encounters with woman were rough and heated, but with Juliet everything was slow and attentive, playful. I wasn't sure how to reciprocate such affection but I desperately tried. I found myself wanting nothing more than to please her, make sure she's happy.

"I'll make you some tea." She quietly spoke leaving the bed. It felt much colder without her presence.

I grabbed her wrist pulling her back into bed before she got too far.

"No, stay."

She rested back in her previous spot, cuddling into my chest.

"Goodnight...again" she giggled.

"Goodnight beautiful."
