“Do you guys care if I take care of some errands first” Clint asked.

Before I could say anything Fiona piped up saying that it was fine. She said something about she didn’t care where she was as long as it was with me. Clint didn’t say anything after that but went ahead and started his errands.

First it was off to the bank where he had to deposit his check and pull some cash out. Then we were off to dry cleaners. On our way to the dry cleaners we got stuck in traffic. The closer we got to the accident the slower things got. I was able to see a white Nissan pathfinder completely upside down with all windows shattered. Apparently what happened was that the guy in the Nissan lost control of his car and hit the median wall causing him to flip over and be tossed from the car. The reason traffic was so slow was because they had to direct people away from the accident because the man was beheaded. His body laid limp about ten feet from the car but his head was about twenty yards down the road. We finally got to the dry cleaners and we waited in the car for what seemed like hours before Clint returned empty handed.

“Wrong dry cleaner” he said apologetically.

“Nice one dumbass” I said in a harsh playful tone.

“Like you never fucked up before” he said messing around.

“Hmm let me think about that” I said. After a short moment of playful waiting I said “Oh yea that’s right, NO.”

After that he started heading to the other dry cleaner’s and me and Fiona started talking about who we thought was going to win the baseball game. As I figured Fiona tried her hardest but she had absolutely no idea what she was talking about. We finally got to the dry cleaners and Clint was in and out within about thirty seconds.

“What did you do, rob them” I asked messing with him.

“Damn, is it that obvious” he responded.

We all laughed and he said that he only had one thing left to do.

“All I have to do is fill up this gas guzzler and then I can drive you to the game” he said.

He drove to the nearest gas station and started pumping gas. He walked away and went to the counter to get some candy or something and when he came back the gas was still pumping. I watched as his Blazer took about eighty dollars of gas before it finally stopped pumping. At about nine thirty we arrived at the baseball park where we got out and I told Clint that I would give him some money or something later. He told me not to worry about it and to enjoy my date. As he was driving off Fiona grabbed me by my arm and led me to the office where her dad worked. She punched a five digit code that looked like it spelled pound but she typed too fast for me to catch it. We got into the office and then she said “Follow me; I want to show you something.”  I followed her down a couple staircases and then we entered a tunnel.

“You won’t be able to get any closer to the field then you will right now” she said as she opened a door.

As soon as I stepped through the door I was amazed to see that I was in the outfield. I could see home, first, second, third, and the pitcher’s mound.

“Here is the best part” she said as she led me to the stands. “Where do you want to sit” she asked.

“Well what do the tickets say” I asked back.

“That’s my point” she said. “These tickets are good for anywhere. We can sit wherever you want.”

I told her that I didn’t care where I was sitting as long as it was with her. Then I pulled her close, picked her up and spun her around before setting her down and kissing her. I just kissed the most amazing person ever and in the most amazing place ever I thought. This day can’t get any better. Or at least that’s what I thought.
