5 years later

Laura's PV:

Jake and I got married and I ended up retiring from the NHL because I had a child her name is Lilly and she's a total daddy's girl. We got married in Cali and Ben walked me down the aisle. It was a beautiful ceremony. We currently live in Chicago due to Jake being traded to the Blackhawks which I don't mind since I like it here. Trish and Ben are back together and there engaged. I always knew they were right for each other. My brothers in jail and I don't feel bad about it at all. He was a prick and he deserved what he got. I don't know where Luke is nor do I care where he is. Ross and I became friends after I finished my schooling and became a surgeon. Riker and I are still friends and I really like his girlfriend Vanessa there good for each other. I never imagined my life to turn out the way it did but I guess everything happens for a reason and I couldn't be more happy than I am right now. As I watch my husband play with our daughter I think of all the good times we've had and all the good times that are still to come.

Lily: mommy come play with us
Laura: okay baby
Lily: look at what me and daddy did
Laura: it's beautiful baby
Jake: hey babe
Laura: hey what times your game tonight
Jake: it's at 7 are you guys coming
Laura: of course we are. I haven't missed one game this year and don't plan on starting now.
Jake: good because I don't play the same without you.

At the game

Lily: mommy look it's daddy he just scored
Laura: Ik baby. You know how he did that.
Lily: how
Laura: he learned that trick from me.
Lily: really
Laura: yeah daddy uncle Ben and I used to be quite the trio. And we always will be.
