Laura's PV:

I just got back from my date with Parker and I had the best time. He made me laugh like my dad used to. I didn't think that would be possible for anyone to do. He came up with Laura jokes and there just for me because there so stupid yet I find them hilarious.

Now I have to study for my English exam. My professor Miss. B is a fucking psycho. She gives us all these tests and quizzes and we never get a break from it. Now we're writing a research paper for her which just may make me finally pull the trigger.

(Phone rings)

Laura: hello
????: Laura
Laura: who is this??
????: it's your mother
Laura: (shocked) what. Why r u calling me??
Jeanne: I called to tell u that I do indeed have cancer and your brother wasn't lying.
Laura: (shocked rolls eyes) I hope u don't expect me to show up at the funeral.
Jeanne: my god Laura u haven't changed at all. U really r still a bitch. I'm on my death bed and u won't even come see me. That's sad.
Laura: how don't I know your not lying. You don't even sound sick. People with cancer usually have a low voice that cracks. And your voice is still loud and annoying. But either way I'm not going. Like I told David "I'll read about it in the paper".
Jeanne: (crying) well I hope u have a good life Laur. I know we had our differences and we haven't seen each other in 6 almost 7 years but I hope you'll change your mind. I would like to see u one more time before I die.
Laura: ain't ganna happen. That part of my life is over I've moved on. I have to go now I have a test to study for.
Jeanne: by Laur love u!!
Laura: (hangs up and throws phone at wall) WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!!!

(Abb's walks through the door)

Abb's: hey Laur
Laura: (sniffles) hey Abb's
Abb's: Laur what's wrong??
Laura: my mom she just called me and said she had cancer and is dying and me and her don't have a good relationship and I can't help but feel guilty for not believing her when she said she had cancer.
Abb's: Laur I'm so sorry everything is going to be okay. Do u want to talk about it.
Laura: yeah I really want to tell u some stuff because your my best friend Abb's
Abb's: (hugs her) your my best friend to.
Laura: Tells her about her life in New York City and her dad dying and her mom and hers relationship. Tells her about her being an alcoholic and drug addict. She tells her about her brother showing up here who she hasn't seen in six years. Abb's I know you probably think differently of me now but I just thought I should be open with u about my life.
Abb's: (has tears in her eyes) Laura I'm so sorry u had to go through all that. I would never think differently of you.
Laura: thanks Abb's and don't cry because then you'll make me cry.
Abb's: (laughs and hugs Laura) I'm just glad u felt that u could tell me all this and u could trust me with it.
Laura: Abb's I would trust u with my life. I just don't really tell anyone my life story because 1 it's long and depressing and 2 I don't want people to treat me differently or pity me.
Abb's: I'm most definitely not going to treat u different Laur your a wonderful strong person. Everything that happened to you when you were younger shaped who you are and that's a wonderful human being.(smiles)
