Today I leave for Buffalo and it's definitely going to be different. The weather there is polar opposite from California and well I'm just going to say the Sabres need some help but that's where I come in. I'm really sad I'm leaving Ben and I can't play with Laur but this is a great opportunity that I just can't pass up.

I just landed now I have to go to baggage claim and look for one of my teammates Pat Kaleta. He's supposed to be picking me up and where going to be roommates. He's new to the team to but he's lived here his whole life so he knows his way around buffalo. There he is.

Pat: that's me r u Jake?
Jake: yep
Pat: alright well let's go and I'll show u r place
Jake: okay
Pat: it's a really nice place actually it's got an in ground pool and a theatre room. There's a lambo and a hummer and a escalade.
Jake: wow. My girlfriend has a lambo
Pat: wow she's a keeper. Girls who drive lambos r hot
Jake: yeah
Pat: so where is she?
Jake: Chicago
Pat: I thought you came from California
Jake: well we met at UCLA while on the hockey team and long story short we started dating and then we went to states won the championship and she got a bunch of different offers and now plays for the Chicago Blackhawks.
Pat: no fucking way your girlfriend is Laura Marano?
Jake: yep
Pat: u better put a ring on that finger cause every guy in the league is after her. Well except for the ones who think of her as a threat.
Jake: Pat Kane thinks she's a threat and that doesn't make me feel any better.
Pat: sorry
Jake: she's already got an enemy though. Her teammate Pat Kane she got his spot as center forward and I guess shit went down.
Pat: wow I got to meet this girl she took Pats place on the ice that's fucking hilarious.
Jake: why?
Pat: 1 everyone hates the guy especially me. 2 he has the biggest ego ever and 3 she plays in the NHL and she's a girl. I heard she's got 1 hell of a slap shot
Jake: she does goalies r afraid of it. I definitely wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of her slap shots.
Pat: well your one lucky guy. Dude we're lucky to get u though because r team is not doing so good right now and with your stats were going to do good this season I can see it now.
Jake: well thanks. So what do u play?
Pat: right wing. I have the most penalty minutes in the league.
Jake: so you like checking people and shit
Pat: I would say it's one of my biggest strengths. I'm very aggressive. I'm not a goal scorer on the team that's Tyler Ennis.
Jake: cool. So what happened to your old roommate?
Pat: oh Ryan he was my best friend still is but he got traded to Saint Louis. I feel bad for him he would have went all the way last year but he chocked in the end and lost in game 7.
Jake: that sucks.
Pat: yeah
Jake: so Buffalo this place looks like a fucking ghost town compared to L.A.
Pat: yeah it's not the biggest town. But everyone here is nice. One thing though stay away from Emily Roche she's a fucking psycho.
Jake: wait my girlfriend met her at her therapy session in L.A. How did she get here?
Pat: her parents sent her to L.A for rehab she's a drug addict always poppin pills and shooting up heroine. But nothing was working so she came back.
Pat: why was your girlfriend in therapy?
Jake: she has a real fucked up past.
Pat: sucks man but everyone has there demons.
Jake: yeah I guess. So this Emily chick how do u know she's back.
Pat: because she's my step-sister.
Jake: okay then
Pat: yeah she's a huge charity case but like I said everyone has there demons. But she's like the fucking devil on earth. Just stay away bro it's for your own good. Because once you let her in she makes your life hell. Believe me I know from experience.

Pats cool but of course his sister has to be fucked up. Oh well I'll just stay away from her. It does me no good to get to know her and I really don't want to. I'm here to play hockey anyway not make friends with some fucked up teenage kid who obviously needs help and won't take it.

Jake: nothing I just miss u Laur
Laura: I miss u to baby
Jake: my roommate is cool
Laura: that's good. How was your flight?
Jake: it was fine I slept through most of it.
Laura: that's good
Jake: you'll never believe this.
Laura: what?
Jake: my roommates step-sister is that charity case u met at therapy the first day.
Laura: really that's crazy and don't call her a charity case she just needs help.
Jake: her family tried that but it didn't work so they brought her back to buffalo.
Laura: wow I feel bad for her. I guess not everyone gets a second chance like I did.
Jake: I guess not. Well I got to go babe early practice. Love u superstar.
