Gabriella looked at the mirror and brushed her hair once more before putting on her uniform which was a dark brown t shirt with 'bakeraaay' written across it and a pair of black jeans. She took her phone, shoved it in her pocket and walked out of her flat.

Another boring day, another boring day. She sighed and walked into an opened elevator.

There was a blond haired guy in it.

The elevator was always empty. The bakery she was working in was pretty far from her apartment building, so she always went out to work at 6 am when everyone was still sleeping. She had never met anybody at mornings.

Gabriella frowned mentally, somehow she always felt like the apartment building was all hers in the mornings. She hopes the guy isn't there the next morning.

She decided not to make a big deal out of it and stepped in. She leaned against the corner of the elevator and closed her eyes.

"Hey." The guy said. Gabriella groaned mentally. This was what she feared, she didn't like to talk to people, especially small talk. She just didn't get the point of small talking. And if she ignored the people who were trying to talk to her, they would call her rude.

She only talked to some certain people and customers. And that was only because she was obliged to.

"Hmm." She said, without opening her eyes.

The guy let out a chuckle. The elevator dinged and opened, signaling that they had already reached the ground floor.

She opened her eyes and glanced at the guy. He walked out first, smiling at her.

She smiled back a little and walked out of the elevator.

"Sucked?" Was the first thing Autumn said when they met.

"Definitely. There was a grumpy old man that kept complaining about how his cake was too sweet. But the name of the cake was sweet chocolate almond, what did he expect?" Autumn chuckled, as they got into the elevator together.

Gabriella pressed number 7 and 3. "How come you never get annoying customers?"

"Who says that? There are always at least 5 kids that drop their ice creams and cry, every day. I'm always the one to clean it and sometimes to give them the new ones because they just won't stop crying." Autumn sighed. She got out at third floor and gabriella was alone.

The elevator dinged once again. The door opened, revealing the very guy that she met this morning at the other side.

She got out as the guy walked in, their arms brushing. She stole a glance back, and the guy was smiling at her again. She was just going to return it when the elevator closed.

Why was he always smiling?
